Only a Game

Basso; Neilson, Tall, Berra, Goncalves; Kingston, Ivaskevicius, Screpis, Mikoliunas; Nade. Subs not used: Banks, Elliot, Glen, Husband, McGowan, Stewart, Wallace.

Don't like the midfield today. Looks far too attacking for me. No one there to stick a tackle in and do the simple stuff. Ruben is neat and tidy on the ball but won't stick his foot in enough.

Unless Screpis likes a tackle? But from what I hear about him, he doesn't.

Basso worries me to be honest and Screpis is untried - hopefully he's got some so far hidden talent

I think I heard Steven Frail saying there's a virus flooring a lot of the players. Eggert puked this morning and is in his kip!

What about Stewart ?

Can't understand why he's on the bench and 28 starts.

What do you think we'll play in midfield?

Screpis on the right, Miko on the left?

Kingston on the wing?

Ruben the only holding man with Kes and Larry attacking?

Ruben and Kes holding with Larry behind the striker?

Screpis behind the striker?

Miko wide left and drifting in behind Nade, Kingston on the right, Iva and Screpis in the middle with Ruben in front of the back 4.

That's my guess anyways.

According to Frail, Screpis will sit and Ruben will drift left of the centre midfielders. Miko left wing and Larry right.

Stewart is not fit, did not stay in hotel last night but was driven down to killie today as a standby.

The BBC radio people are saying it's 'odd' that the Hearts and Aberdeen games are not on the same day.

As I stated on the other thread, apparently it will be Screpis who sits with Ruben being the left of the midfield three.

.......................Screpis

Kingston Ivaskevicius Palazuelos Mikoliunas

.......................Nade

I'd like to know Frails thoughts as to why a winger is holding in midfield, fair enough if it was McCann because he's 90 years old but Screpis, surely the fitness isn't that much of an issue?

Unless he's thinking Palazuelos' strongest position isn't the holding role and Screpis is the only other fit midfielder. Kes, Larry and Miko can't really play that role, if Screpis was the only other choice, then I understand it.

Why is it when it's an important game, I can't get on to HW

They had probs the first 15 mins, but it was okay over here after that. Seemingly they always have technical problems at Rugby Park!
