Fermi
Hopefully this hasn't been spotted before, and if it has I apologise. I found this article purportedly from the Sunday Herald. It covers the usual stuff about VR attempting to buy into Dundee/Dundee United/Dunfermline. There are a interesting bits I've not seen before, however, like: Dunfermline boss Jimmy Calderwood admitted to the Sunday Herald that he was so impressed by the FBK Kaunas under-19 side when he saw it that "one or two would be pushing for my first team next season". The only problem for Dunfermline materialised when the club were quoted a (pounds) 500,000 price for initiating a link-up between the clubs. It also illustrates the understanding, way before his arrival at Hearts, that VR wanted to use a Scottish club as a vehicle for selling on "talent".
