lol I haven’t started to read it yet but I have had  a few humorous thoughts about the Broons 2025 !! I’ll leave it there 😎

one of my neices asked what I wanted for Xmas and I said the broons book , she thought I was joking ! I wasn’t. I’m a humble person really 😎I don’t ask for much .

if there anything in the album I’ll let you all know . They surely must have moved with the times ?

Don't usually say anything about the books I've read, but this one was excellent. Would make a great mini series.

About halfway through this fella now and highly recommend.

I’d heard from a couple of guides on my travels through Canada that the  brown/black/grizzly bear interbreeding means that all 3 can have the genetics of each other and are no longer considered pure bred.  Like a grizzly can be both brown and black and brown/black can have grizzly dna.  I was also told that there are only 2 pure out and out non mixed gene bear spices left as both types of bear are the only bears found in that habitation…one being the polar bear and the other, I can’t remember but I think it’s Alaskan….. course I could use tinternet to find out 😳

I loved it, raced through it in a couple of days. Checked and noticed that Martin Scorsese has purchased the rights. I've also got a copy of Killers of the Flower Moon to read as well.

I was the same. A proper page turner of a non-fiction book.

Hoping for the same from the other. Never saw the film of it so all new for me.

On another note, im sure I saw you reading some Bernard Cromwell before. Ever read any Sharpe? Been thinking about getting into them.

I think it was someone on here who recommended it, so reading this at the moment and enjoying it so far. Fun to see the Edinburgh based names popping up, pubs and all, and matching them to their real life counterparts (easy to do for most of the pubs so far, the likes of Old Chain Pier and Canny Man )

I've not read any Sharpe as yet, but I do have a couple of Sharpe novels on my book shelf but don't think they're the any of the first ones. May need to try and find some of the earlier ones to begin with.

It's an interesting one. I went and got Tiger and Triumph which are first in the chronology but well later in the actual publication order. Didn't realise till after I'd bought them. Not sure if that's the best way to read them or not but some online recommended going chronology.
