That's what I'm scared of. :look:

Rask is playing lights out, every night now.

Look how many chances our teams had against mighty Tim, that's amazing:

Thomas plays, Rask takes notes.

Absolutely terrible home game for Sharks. They looked tired and uninspired.

Karlsson mistake, goalie mistake, penalty shot - and they were done.

Schwartz has a hat trick and one baseball cap as a present.

Craig is moving forward, one step closer.

3:2 in the series.

Yeah, they look done. Karlsson can barely move and Pavelski's looked pretty beaten up when Pietrangelo put him in to the boards.

Pavelski got hit in the head again. Karlsson has problems in the leg. Hertl is out. Should find a balance. Harsh times for them.

Boston will take the cup in six matches.

Big factors for Boston: strong and experienced group of players, 5 Stanley Cup champions, deep roster, outstanding goalkeeper, lethal power play (34%). Zdeno Chara is healthy and ready to play. This team is complete, they are prepared for a new story.

Minuses: can't see any big ones.
Lack of concentration at some certain points of games (like in game five against Toronto). A lot depends on Bergeron, Marchand, Pastrnak, Rask and Chara, though there is nothing new in that.

Big factors for St. Louis Blues: solid and confident defenders who are ready to face with any problems. Solid group of center forwards: O'Reilly, Schenn, Bozak. Though, I don't believe in Schenn as a first line center; maybe it's his golden moment and head coach Craig Berube knows him damn well since the Philadelphia Flyers days. Surely, they have a nice first line (good scoring ability, puck control) - no doubt in that.

Minuses: sometimes they seem too slow. Blues have big problems with fast and technically gifted forward lines - it was clear during the games with the Dallas Stars. At times Radulov RW, Benn LW and Hintz C did everything that they wanted with Blues in a attacking zone. They have scored a lot of points and in the end it could have been Dallas.

Schenn (24 games), O'Reilly (13) and Bozak (18) had a very limited amount of games in the playoffs before the current started.
Will Schenn carry on? Does Schwartz have a few additional pucks in him?

Absolutely crushing and lethal power play from Boston (4 out of 4).

Power play: 36%. Bruins first line has some problems at even strength (just one goal), but the same guys are so good during the power plays (5 points in one game). Players from 3d and 4th lines don't want to stop too (impressive 10 points).

St. Louis top centers (after 3 games): O'Reilly - two assists, Schenn - one assist and one goal, Bozak - two assists.

Schwartz - 2 assists, no goals.

Watched the game last night - the bruins were on top in every department. Binnington was particularly bad though.

Yeah, but the guys in front of him can't create something good. St. Louis concentrates too much on Boston first line; they shut it down at even strenght, but they can't stop the same guys during the power plays; players from 3d and 4th lines are on fire too - it's not a good sign for Blues.

Blues forwards are not productive enough. St. Louis: 5 wins at home and 6 defeats. Boston has 5 away wins in a row.

Didn't see that win coming!

Injuring one of the Bruin's D seems to be the key to the win!

It's Chara (puck hit). When will the Bruins first line score some points at even strength? That's the biggest question and problem right now.

Schenn: 1 goal, Tarasenko: 1 goal, O'Reilly: 2 goals - that's the only right answer from St. Louis.

Some important numbers:

Boston Bruins: power play 35% (1), penalty kill 87% (4), faceoff win percentage 53% (3).

St. Louis Blues: pp 17% (11), pk  74% (13), fow 49% (9).

St. Louis Blues vs Boston Bruins 2:1

This second goal (crucial) is illegal, there is nothing to talk about:

Ok, this was an average game with a lot of shots from distance and few sparks in attacking zones.

Zdeno is injured and it shows. Boston top forwards are quiet again; St. Louis first line doesn't exist (2-3 shots).

It seems like Craig Berube is the MVP of this series - his confidence is all over the place. He makes right decisions, that's why his team took game 4 and 5. Other than that, there is nothing to say about St. Louis - muddy defence with few good counterattacks. Sometimes defence is bad (like in game 3), sometimes top forwards are not good at all, sometimes the whole team doesn't work. Maybe next game will answer who are the real leaders on the ice.

Boston head coach has a lot to do. Team needs changes; Marchand, Bergeron have to score. They look lost, out of place.

Not the best game for both teams, it doesn't look like a final.

I've felt that with a lot of the SC finals of late - teams are so beat up by the time they make it to the final, the games are a bit all over the place.

Annoyingly over in Sweden at the moment so it's going to be difficult to catch Game 7 tonight - hating these 8ET start times.

Congrats to Craig Berube and St. Louis Blues, first Stanley Cup for the team. This is totally out of left field; these games were strange.

Key factors for Blues: Craig Berube and his actions & decisions, goalkeeper, outstanding counterattacks.

Again Boston top forwards without goals. We heard it all before. That was unexpected.

Boston should have scored 2 or 3 in the first period. Blues goals came out of nowhere. This was a top game for goalie, Boston had a lot of good

chances. That's why Marchand, Bergeron & Chara were so depressed after the final whistle. Had they scored during the first five - ten minutes the result would have been different.

I think the last great finals were in 2010 - with a lot of goals, moments, combinations and technically skilled and consistent players from both sides (Philadelphia & Chicago). Attractive attacking hockey.

St. Louis is another story - defensive-minded team, abrasive & spiky. I think Blues forwards are pretty much average ones, except O'Reilly and Tarasenko (both have wisdom and skills). They are strong as a team, mostly. This team like a system where everybody knows how to play and where to go in different situations (like Finland national team).

Boston depends on top forwards (their technicality, speed, thinking), when they score - everything is OK; when not - it's a tragedy.

And now I don't think that Blues defense is perfect - not at all, Boston demolished them twice (7:2, 5:1), while being far from home. Final game, first 5 - 10 minutes (moment after moment) - here you go again. Both teams are bad at home, this is something new for the National Hockey League.

Kessel traded to Coyotes for Galchenyuk. Reckon AG will do well on the PP in Pittsburgh. Not watched him in Arizona at all this year but Chester will be hoping he's not playing centre!

Looking like Zaitsev is getting traded to Ottawa for Codi Ceci too. Loving the Leafs Cap situation

Loving how his 2018-19 goal highlights video on YouTube is 45 minutes long :jj:

Dallas Stars this season:

Joe Pavelski, Corey Perry, Alexander Radulov, Jamie Benn, Roope Hintz, Tyler Seguin. Good goalkeepers and defenders. Now they have more than a solid first line.

Aha, he had some health problems and all, but I think he has two-three solid seasons inside. Perry = Experience - World Cup of Hockey (gold), 2016 World Championship (gold), Stanley Cup, Olympic gold medals (2010 & 2014), 2005 World Junior Championship (gold) and Memorial Cup.

Benn - Seguin - Radulov

Hintz - Pavelski - Perry

Powerplay unit:

Benn - Pavelski - Radulov

Seguin - Klingberg

I can see a lot of goals here; and there too =>

Ok, and now our main rivals deserve a mention too:

NJ Devils second line right now:

Gusev - Hughes - Simmonds (a lot of potential here)

First: Hall - Hischier - Palmieri

I was thinking recently about the best Philadelphia Flyers team in history, it was interesting and fun. A lot of details here and there; so I choose this team:

Attacking lines:

John LeClair (LW) - Eric Lindros (C) - Mark Recchi (RW)

Bill Barber (LW) - Bobby Clarke (C) - Reggie Leach (RW)

Simon Gagne (LW) - Rod Brind'Amour (C) - Mikael Renberg (RW)

Brian Propp (LW) - Rick MacLeish (C) - Tim Kerr (RW)

Defenders:

Mark Howe - Eric Desjardins

Derian Hatcher - Chris Pronger

Joe Watson - Jimmy Watson

Goaltenders:

Ron Hextall - first choice

Bernie Parent

Brian Boucher

First power play unit:

John LeClair - Eric Lindros - Mikael Renberg (Legion of Doom)

Rod Brind'Amour - Eric Desjardins

Second power play unit:

Simon Gagne - Rick MacLeish - Mark Recchi

Mark Howe - Chris Pronger

Penalty kill unit I:

Rod Brind'Amour - Mark Recchi
Chris Pronger - Eric Desjardins

Penalty kill unit II:

Brian Propp - Bobby Clarke
Jimmy Watson - Joe Watson

Traditionally a lot of guys from Boston (from the 1967 NHL expansion draft: Bernie Parent, Joe Watson; later - Reggie Leach and others).

Brian Propp from Philadelphia to Boston (1990).

90's and Montreal stars: John LeClair & Eric Desjardins.

Mark Recchi - from Philadelphia (1992-1995) to Montreal, then Philadelphia (1999-2004) again and Boston. Even Simon Gagne played his last games in Boston. Blood Ties.

Flyers went 1-3-3 in the NHL preseason. 1 win against Rangers, 2 losses in OT and 1 in SO. And now 3:4 (with a 0:4 hole) against Lausanne HC (Switzerland) - not good at all. Hart allowed 3 goals on 7 shots.

Hayes looks good as a second line center, Laughton looks like he is a better version of himself and ok too. First games against Chicago (10.04.19) and Jersey  (10.09.19).

Boston is a solid team right now - 4 wins, 2 losses in OT.

8:2 win against Chicago. They don't want to stop; again will look like contenders.

Montreal - 5 wins, 2 losses. Though, Toronto looks like they are too strong for them right now.

Jersey - 5 wins, 2 losses during the preseason. NY teams - this is not a big deal for them.

Dallas - 4 wins, 3 losses. Pavelski looks like a very important part of this team, solid display. Team is trying to reinvent itself a little bit.

I don't see the fuss about Carter Hart. Every time I've see him play he's been pony.

Not going to read too much into preseason but it's not really a surprise that the Habs are a little way off Toronto.

We'll see how close we are on Saturday night I guess! Hopefully no more flukey goals for the Queafs this year.

He has a very good numbers and even medals at a young age. But some writers think that he is some kind of second coming and that's strange.

They even insist that he will be the leader (almost solely) of the whole team. Too much pressure can be a problem.

Preseason or not at least you see who's hot, who's not.

There's shades of Carey 'best in the World' Price.  He gets way more plaudits than he deserves despite quite a few average seasons.

Delighted to see Nick Suzuki make the Habs' opening night roster by the way. He's one who's looked really good in preseason.

I think 10 and a half million is too much. At least he has a few very strong seasons, but only with one deep run in the playoffs.

Gold at Olympics, gold at World Cup of Hockey - but all these defenders in front of him were top-notch.

Maybe Montreal pays for stability, confidence.
