NHL playoffs

It's only one game, but it was quite a game.

The Leafs are starting to look like a competitive team, finally.  It's only been 50 years, after all.

Thankfully the Leafs' D is still pretty average.

Red Wings won last night which comes as a surprise!

The Penguins/Blackhawks score looked interesting...

Anyone seen Chester?

How was Nolan Patrick?

He was ok, but nothing special - few good shots here and there, wasn't bad during the faceoffs.

Flyers first line:

Giroux [C]  - Couturier [C] - Voracek (weird combination)

Second line:

Weal - Patrick [C] - Simmonds

Nolan was a part of the second power play unit.

Meant to say, Connor McDavid looks like he's found another gear! I know he's fast but he genuinely looks like he's got quicker.

Jack Eichel seems to have had a growth spurt too. Still looks like a radiation victim though. He reminds me of the sick kid in The Simpsons .

And their goalie, although Anderson was very good against the Jets.

Safe to say we've given the Clan an absolute pumping tonight.

Still got ten minutes left as well!

Great to see the Clan getting a pumping.

Shite to see Fife winning.

Its like seeing your mother-in-law going over a cliff in your new Porsche.

Caps hand out a 7-2 drubbing away in Dundee.

And it sounds like its all kicked off in Cardiff. Fights, official abuse, fans throwing drinks over players and being ejected.

Very entertaining Leafs v Blackhawks game last night.

Leafs could have folded after going down 0-2 after about eight minutes, but hung on and got a well deserved win in OT.

Great deal here guys:

£5 tickets, Sunday and next Wednesday, if you have a season ticket (or if you've one for the rugby/speedway)

http://www.edcapitals.com/news/offer-5-entry-for-edinburgh-sports-season-ticket-holders

I know I'll be biased but its a superb deal and a promotion I wish they did more of.

(I'll put it on the main board shortly)

Flyers at Predators

0:3 :orly?:

3:3 :wow:

5:3:glorious:

5:6 :wicked: (the last one with 35 seconds left)

+ First goal for Konecny & Patrick (4 goals for Wayne); 4 points in 4 away games and some good moments from Shayne.

-  Voracek has zero goals & Giroux just with 1 (the same old problems during 5 on 5 situations); Claude and Sean (two centers) in one line. Three stupid penalties at the end of the game.

A wee bit. Plenty retweets etc.

I think the hope is his best mate, Evgeny Kuznetsov, pays attention to the Twitter bombardment, and gives it a retweet or such like.

Very clever goal.  I doubt if he would be given enough time to do that in the NHL.

Capitals at Flyers 2:8

Nice game, though Caps had second game in two days. Top line (Giroux, Couturier, Voracek) has 10 point game.

Giroux with 4 points (2 goals), Couts with 2 goals and 1 assist, Voracek with 3 assists and without any goal  :sob:

Laughton as a part of the 4th line (Leier, Raffl) had a great game too (2 goals [+ shorthanded one] ). Second line looks solid too (Simmonds & Filppula with 1 goal each).

Ooft, that's a pumping.

I'd almost forgotten about the Flyers, they've been garbage for so long.

Effin' hate when Montreal do the Californian road trip - 1) as we usually go 0-3 and 2) the games are on at stupid o'clock.

A tidy shut-out win for the Leafs in Washington tonight.  I'd be interested in knowing the last time the Caps were shut out at home.

Leafs have won their first 3 away games of the season ... the first time that's happened in 36 years.

Shut out for the Canucks. Leafs, Canucks Final coming up June 2018.

Damn, I watched a baseball game, was one of the best games I've ever seen.

Flyers are doing great - 5:1 this time around; Giroux & Ghost are hot again.

Nice training, nice games, nice day; I am happy.

It's time for a dreamland now.

Leafs will have to sort out their defence for that to happen.  They give up far too many preventable goals.

Leafs well beaten by Ottawa.  Their deficiencies in defence were glaring.

Aye for sure.

Still, very Bad first couple of periods, but could of turned out quite differently in the third

A disastrous turnover allowed Ottawa to score a mere 7 seconds after Leafs made it 3-2.  That effectively killed the comeback.
