rudi must stay Posted October 11 Posted October 11 (edited) I just realised I reviewed Fear and loathing in Las Vegas twice - I was half asleep writing it but that's my thoughts on it Edited October 11 by rudi must stay
Mikey1874 Posted October 11 Posted October 11 (edited) The Woman in Cabin 10 (Netflix) Quite a clever story, stylish with a great cast. Looked like it had really good potential. But then they make a total arse of the reveal and the ending. Edited October 11 by Mikey1874
rudi must stay Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Janet Planet Nothing happens in this film it is unbelievably boring

Gavman81 Posted October 12 Posted October 12 (edited) Saw the new Tron in IMAX 3D Film itself is not the best but the score by the Nine Inch Nails is absolutely outstanding as are some of the set pieces. Prob enjoyed it more then I should have tbh Edited October 12 by Gavman81

Stellar cast( Maxine Peake, Peter Mullen and Shirley Davidson) and a great soundtrack for the times. The film is based on the life of John Davidson from Galashiels who developed Tourettes in his early teens in the mid 1980s. The film covers 40 years of his living with this condition. You will feel every emotion - and it is hard not to laugh at some of John's swearing tics ! I went to see this on Saturday. One of the best movies I've seen in years. Funny, moving, with some brilliant acting performances. Would highly recommend this one.

Only scene I laughed at was when he was in the back of the car with the girl who also suffered from the condition. Was one of the saddest movies I’ve seen. Heartbreaking to see what he’s went through in his life. Trailers before the movie were good though, as luckyB jr was in one of them😎 Edited October 14 by luckyBatistuta

I was expecting more funny bits from the trailers though.
rudi must stay Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I Swear As a man with mental health issues this really affected me. Best film on the subject since Surge in my opinion

I actually couldn’t believe how bad this was - the reveal / ending was horrific Genuinely thought it was some kind of satirical send up comedy at points of this particular genre - like a school play
Vansen Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Tron Ares Absolutely panned by critics but I loved this. Fantastic special effects, great soundtrack from NIN, thought Greta Lee was really good and even Jared Leto was tolerable. 8/10

Disagree on Greta Lee though, wasn’t overly impressed with her performance.

Like you , really enjoyed this as was in 3D and the sheer spectacle was great , and that soundtrack - ooooft - was something else 👏
Gavman81 Posted October 16 Posted October 16 The new VHS Halloween is good. More of the same if you know these films - anthology horror shorts but a couple of real gems in there.

A lot of the reviews didn't seem to reflect what I was watching. I thought it expanded quite nicely on Tron and Tron Legacy and I loved the film for what it was, not what i expected or wanted it to be. I get the thing about Sam Flynn and Quorra not being in it, but their characters were mentioned enough for me to still feel part of it.

PortyJambo Posted October 17 Posted October 17 2 hours ago, rudi must stay said: Kraven The Hunter Not as bad as people say in my opinion I'd agree. It wasn't the best superhero film, but certainly not one of the all time worst as some critics called it. Same with Morbius, I didn't think that was as bad as made out.
robertlaird Posted October 18 Posted October 18 I'm going to gorge on the "RAMBO" movies this coming week.
