The Official JKB What Was The Last Film You Watched...

Blinded By The Light. I will confess that I am a huge Springsteen fan and will watch anything relating to him or his songs.

This film is inspired Sarfraz Manzoors upbringing in the UK in the 80s. For those of us who lived through those times it will bring back memories of the culture of the time - both good and bad.

I thought the film highlighted a lot of issues of the time but some of the use of songs were very cheesy. Other times, the songs were very moving.

Mixed feelings about it so only 6/10

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Best film I have watched this year. LDC, Margo Robbie and Brad Pitt are fabulous in it 9/10

Fantastic Beasts 2.

Pretty woeful, in all honesty. Couldn't much tell you exactly what happens and the ending is just horrendous.

3/10.

All about opinions. I much preferred it to RD/PF etc.

I thought the ranch scene was excellent. Brad Pitt,Margot Robbie, Timothy olyphant and Emile hirsch all were superb.

I thought dicaprio by and large was poor. He bored me.

The ranch scene was excellent - BP has grown on me as an actor and I really liked him in this. Margot Robbie I am not too familiar with but agree that she was excellent. LDC I thought was excellent too as he was playing an actor on a downward spiral. His scene with the young female actor (not actress) and his scene in his trailer after he fluffed his lines were great. Add to that his part in the end scenes.... Might not be his best work but felt he played the role really well - IMO

Brightburn - don't bother 4/5.

I liked that. 4/5 is a bit harsh imo.

Once upon a time in Hollywood.

Utterly dire except the last 15 minutes or so. Don't waste your time.

Once Upon A Time .....

Last night. Like waiting 2 hours for a bus to come along. Get on the bus to find it full of drugs, booze and loud music only for the bus to reach its last stop after you just got on!!

I agree - though at the moment I may not be the best to listen to for film reviews.

Baby Driver on Netflix.

Rotten.  Really, really bad.  Stopped it about 45 - 60 minutes in.  (if that).

Horses for courses mate!

I just found it not very good.  Spacey was decent in the bits I saw, but I found it all a bit contrived, trying to ape a Tarantino style kinda thing going on, and it just didn't work for me.

The bit in the cafe, chatting up the waitress, just killed it off.

Not sure how much you seen but it gets quite action packed in the latter stages. I liked the music too.

It was certainly a better Tarantino film than Tarantinos latest.

Just out of OUATIH and unfortunately have to agree with the criticisms on here. Apart from the Ranch scene and that fantastic wee burst at the end, nothing happens in an almost 3 hour long movie.
