Caught by chance The Australian Dream documentary film last night on BBC2

Available on Iplayer

I knew nothing of the Adam Goodes story, a bit of an eye opener to be honest. As sports documentaries go a 9/10

I need to watch it again when I've drunk less but, meh!

4/10.

Agreed, had been looking forward to it and it was a bit of a let down.

Watched "3 from Hell" which is a follow up to "The Devils Rejects".

Easy enough daft horror nonsense to watch.

Terminator Dark Fate

Not even finished but know my score. 5 - bang average and that's only because of Arnie's appearance and comic timing improving it

5/10

Bad Boys - Had never seen it but enjoyable watch. A few cheesy/funny lines, easy to follow if a bit ridiculous and decent action shots and explosions etc especially given it must be 20+ years old. 8/10

American History X. A solid 8/10. Superb film with fantastic acting and a brilliant performance from Edward Norton. I was shocked yo learn how little it grossed at the box office.

Leon - ages since I watched it but recently bought the 4K disc and it’s such a great film. Gary Oldman is stark raving bonkers in it. Superb stuff and the 4K is a huge upgrade in PQ from the bluray

The Peanut Butter Falcon

9/10 for originality

Very unusual path for Hollywood to go down as it tells the story of a lad with Down’s syndrome. Has made an unlikely star of Zack Gottsagen.

Although I was cynical when she put it on, as Mrs F is forever watching Undateables etc, it kept us engrossed, including our son, right until the end.

Strongly recommend

available on Netflix

Johnny English Strikes Again with Rowan Atkinson.

I've no idea how I managed to watch it all the way through.  It was awful.

Watched Nil by Mouth last night. First saw it over 20 years ago and it's still as powerful now.

To think there are thousands of people who's lives are actually like that is quite sad.

Just saw this, gobsmacked. Everybody in the house thought it was garbage, so we turned it off. Acting was awful.

I watched a film Called Snowtown- Australian film based on the true story of Australia' biggest serial killer

He is like that Stinson hunter bloke who gets a list of known Pedophiles except he goes a little further than embarrassing them on his I-Phone

It's a cross between Animal Kingdom and Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer

Warning i found out about it from a bloke talking about the most disturbing films he has ever seen so it's not your average film

Very well made though it's not torture porn in fact you don't see a lot it's more implied

It is. Supposedly it's not at all how it looks and is actually a really good film but the initial Netflix marketing just was obviously targeting their American viewers. This is the real poster which was used until Netflix got their hands on it.

No such thing as bad publicity I guess.

Agree - wasn't overly impressed with Project Power.

Watched Everest (2015) on Film 4 this week. Oldish film but really good. Top actors and gripping film.

9/10 (apologies if covered already).

Meh, but I'm told that I'm in a minority.  Apparently it's grrrreat film!   Good acting by Cooper, for sure.

Massive Box office returns doesn’t always equate to quality films I feel . It’s a brilliant film

I thought it was pretty good . Certainly better than the dire Streisand version but not as good as the garland version

I thought it was average . Still stunned he won best actor for it ? What were they thinking ? It also glossed over his sexuality and his party lifestyle . It could have been made by Disney . I found “ Rocket man “ was far better .

“ brute force “ 1946 film with the great Burt Lancaster . Really good prison drama .     Lancaster had a great screen presence .   I also watched “ Spartacus “ for the first time . It was great apart from a fairly wooden performance from Kirk Douglas but a brilliant performance from Laurence Olivier . It’s great to contrast their acting styles . Charles Laughton was also great in it .                                           Also watched “ Judy “ about the last year of Judys life . It was ok but left a lot out about this time and was a bit saccharine diluting the mess she was in towards the end of her life . However Zellweger really caught the Essence of Judy , her warmth , humour and compassion . I’ve been lucky to see both her daughters in concert and both are certainly chips off the old block .

Unless you are a teenage girl then you won't love this. Basically little miss nice meets boy with tats at college and they fall in love. Unfortunately a sequel is being/has been made. Mrs F made me keep it on.

English boy is one of the Fiennes family.

After a comet releases a mysterious virus that begins to kill all the women in the world, a young couple hides out in their over-sterilized apartment trying to fight for their lives. What a load of tripe, only kept it on last night so I could watch the boxing on my laptop.

Howards Way - story of Howard Kendall years at Everton. Really enjoyed it.

Busby - Film about Sir Matt Busby at Man U, also really good.

The Rise of Jordan B Peterson - Didn't know that much about the guy but I'd love him to sign up to Kickback.

Took the kids to the cinema for the first time in months on Friday to see Jurassic Park. A film both of them love but they are too young to have seen it on the big screen. It is a film that I have seen lots but the big screen makes it so much better. 7/10

Disney+ is a favourite in our house.

The One and Only Ivan was a decent watch. Kids will love it. I thought it was ok but it was inspired by a true story that got me looking on Google for it. Kids will give it 9/10, I thought it was 7/10

Magic Camp. Another one that kids will like. A few funny bits but very much a Disney formulated film.

Really slick film. Great to look at, easy to follow story. It has its weaknesses but about half way through it hits some form and becomes the film I'd hoped.
