Good trade for the Eagles and Phillips. He's a good player who "could" be great, but he's too injury prone for the Dolphins to invest a big new contract in him, so getting a 3rd next year rather than losing him in free agency and hoping you get a compensatory pick is probably as much as they were going to get.

In other news, in the space of 5 days the eagles have picked up 3 giant pieces in their defensive puzzle;

Jaelen Phillips from Miami for a 3rd

Jaire Alexander for a 6th (steal if he’s still motivated)

Michael Carter for John Metchie and a pick swap

I’m unsure how Howie Roseman does it. Is he a hypnotist? Why do GM’s keep doing business with Philly?

Roseman is some wheeler and dealer, constantly making trades it seems.

Even after all the Eagles trades, they're still projected to have 11 picks in the 2026 draft...until Roseman trades some more of them away anyway

They do, but Howie Roseman has every GM's phone set up to call divert to him first...

First blockbuster of this trade deadline day, Sauce Gardner to the Colts for two 1st round picks to the Jets.

Apparently a player too, WR Adonai Mitchell, as well as 1st round picks in 2026 and 2027 to the Jets.

I think Gardner is over-rated, so Colts have been fleeced...

And the Jets fire sale continues, now trading Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys for a 2026 2nd round pick and a 2027 1st round pick.

They’ll need those 27 1sts if they want a decent QB, don’t think the talent in 26 up to much

Mendoza of Indiana, if he declares is rising, and rising fast. Reminds me of Burrow’s ascent from where he was compared in pre season to how his season ended.

Yeah, I can't stand the Jets, hated rivals of the Dolphins (rivals is maybe a bit strong, seeing as we're both shit!) , but they've opened themselves up to have their pick of QB in either the '26 or '27 draft. If they don't like the ones in the next draft, they've got enough picks to be in play for whoever they like in 2027.

Of course, being the Jets they'll probably pick the wrong one

They have a real chance of winning the lot this year. Impressive team.

He’s quite Drake Maye like with a hint of Burrow. Very athletic on the QB keepers.

He’s a lock for the Heisman Imo.

Jets at 1-7 and deciding to just give up and get rid of all their decent players so they finish 1-16 and get first round picks for the next two years running

I genuinely wonder if that hit from Burfict didn't put the lid on AB's biscuit tin.

No way did it not contribute, should have been sine died.

I see that Trump apparently wants Washington's new stadium named after him, or it won't get his backing to be built

The before and after in terms of interviews is quite harrowing.

Particularly sad as on his wrist tape on Monday night he has “Ask 4 help” written in black marker on the white tape.

Clearly Chris Grier was the only problem in Miami going by that 1st half

Still plenty of time for the same old Dolphins to show up though...

Buffalo clearly thought this would be a walkover. Looks like they are getting into gear though so fully expect Miami to shite it.

Wonder if it's safe for me to switch over to the darts. Surely Miami can't throw this 16 point lead away in the final quarter...

The way that Bills defence just parted...well, it was like watching the Dolphins defence all season. 😁

To be fair, it was 3rd down, so chucking it long and being intercepted is almost as good as a punt

Tremendous performance by Miami today though, finally blowing out the Bills for once instead of them doing the same to us. Don't care if wins don't really help us now, it was still fun

Seahawks are legitimate. The defence is outrageous.

Can they be classed as an outsider for the Super Bowl? I’m thinking they’re getting close to being a favourite personally.
