CostaJambo
Following on from BP's excellent pubs of the past thread, lets suppose you come out of Tynie at 4.50 on a Saturday after gubbing the Hobos 4-0 and you have a free limo waiting for you and your mates for the night. What is your ideal Edinburgh pub crawl - 6 pubs maximum for the sake of it. Naturally ending up on the pull in the last one of course!

deesidejambo
Feck. The more I read these pub and chippy threads the more I want to come home. Greet greet. I have one freeloading kid left to get through school then its back down to civilisation for me and Mrs Deeside. I think it was the sauce on the chips that confirmed it. Feck Aberdeen. Gavsy Van Gaverson
Not specifically Edinburgh but those 'Carnage' pub crawls sound great (although not for the people who stay in the chosen City on that weekend). If only I was 10 years younger.

blairdin
Six pubs! SIX! That's not a pub crawl, that's a quiet night out with friends... Our favourite Edinburgh pub crawl is walking from the end of town where me and my mates were brought up into the city centre. First done this for a mates 18th birthday, and have done once a year since (12 years) for old times sake. Old Chain Pier start - then need a taxi to the next venue which is Spiers - and from now all walking to the city centre via Marina Hotel Northern Bar (now called Orchard Garden) Stags Head McLaughlins Smities Clarkes The Wally Dug Jekyll & Hyde The Standing Order Candy Bar

blairdin
How lazy are you?! And the Old Chain Pier is, sadly, gash these days. Any more than a 5 minute walk between pubs constitutes a waste of VDT*. The Chain Pier has never been the same since Drew Nicol stopped running it a few years ago, but we're all Granton lads and it was always our local in the good old days. We still always start our once a year for ld times sake pub crawl there. *valuable drinking time

Mine would probably entail: Robbo's for a few after game. Persevere for a wee gloat with some of my old football mates. Broadfields to arrange nighttime plans. Rush and then see what happens...Carnage.
