Should also be amazing. PE are being supported by Ultramagnetic MCs legend Kool Keith is doing his Dr Octagon set, experimental hip-hop pioneers Anti-pop Consortium and Edan who is brilliant as as well. I see colours is a great record. I like the fact that he makes all of his own beats and raps over them as well, the guy has serious talent. He's supposed to be brilliant live as well. Anti-pop are one of my favourite bands as well. They split up a few years ago so i'm surprised to see them playing at this, not sure if Beans will be with them or not. They make some of the best beats i've ever heard, real next level stuff. And what can you say about Kool Keith? Hip-hop royalty i guess. The Dr Octagon LP is so good, can't wait to see that live. He has a terrible reputation for not turning up. A couple of my mates put him on at Triptych in Glasgow a couple of years ago and he refused to go onstage unless he could have a "German shuffle" over some porn. My mate Alex had to lend him his laptop . The guy is clearly mental but can rhyme like few others. As for Public Enemy playing their best LP live!!! What a gig that's going to be. Also, i went to see Dizzee Rascal in the big hall at the ABC a few months ago and the sound quality was phenomenal. Much better sound than at any other venue i've been at in Glasgow. I'm sure a wind swept and sodden Knockhill will compensate! The key song from that album is "Down in the Park" and not as some people think, "Are 'Friends' Electric?" (note my incredibly clever yet funny take on the name.) Like many synth-centric artists - if the wrong sounds are used the performace can fall flat. Lets hope Gary (and Ade) choose well for the forthcoming gigs. And if anyone is interested; this is how to use synthesizers! (oh, and turn up your speakers!)
