Sunsets over Edinburgh - the last two days

Has anyone else noticed the spectacular sunsets we've been having in Edinburgh today and yesterday.

I've never really seen anything quite like it before.

Beautiful, Baby.

There's been a weird, yellowish hue to it all up here in the badlands of North Edinburgh. It's the end, I tell you.

The sky is on fire.

I wish I had a Mark V Ford Cortina. I'd go chase it.

Nothing better than a nice sunset. Makes you appreciate what matters in life.

RIP the sun tonight. It went down in the end. But not without a fight.

The buildings of the Old Town look absolutely stunning in the dying light of the day.

We live in the most beautiful city on Earth.

The sunrise was equally as beautiful this morning, i opened the curtains smiled and said " hello wonderfull World", i then turned around and stood on one of my daughters kinder egg toys and swore like a trooper.

I took this picture from my office in November 2005. It is looking west along the River Thames towards Battersea from Vauxhall.

Thanks. If only I had a tripod back then, then the blasted motion blur would'nt have occurred. :) Was blowin a gale that morning but it was one of those 'get the camera oot' moments - the sunset was even better but I never got out of work in time to snap it.

The pictures are lovely guys but actually standing witnessing it is spiritually uplifting and makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck.

If anyone has a sunset with a splendid bit of totty standing in front of it with her vuluptuous thrupnies silhouettied against the setting sun please feel free to post it.

That might do it for me.

I apologise in advance for this post.

It was the sunset over Slateford sorting office which made me wonder if this thread was heading in the wrong direction.

Well if you prefer the Slateford sorting office sunset to Tobias sunset you are obviously a connoisseur of the sunset genre.
