bishop1874 Posted January 17, 2008 Share Posted January 17, 2008 Recently there has been a lot of noise about lack of communication from the club to the supporters and personally I am not sure how many fans groups there are. I had been thinking and this months ad arena magazine had an article which re-inforced this about having one fans group only. We seem to have a few groups but what do they actually contribute to the club?Many teams in spain are are completely run by the fans, we obviously could not do this because we have an owner and currently are unable to trade in the black. An alternative would be one fans group where all members would pay say ?5 per month and would receive an e-mail/letter monthly or quarterly from the club and with sections from all areas of the club explaining day to day activities and financial info. There would be a hierarchy and we would be represented by one man who would have a seat on the board and would pay for this privellege and media exposure this would bring. Local businesses in the gorgie area would also be encouraged and would pay slightly extra. We all crave information and this way we would be helping the club in getting it, we apparently have over 300,000 fans so if a good portion backed the idea it could go a long way to securing the future of the club whilst uniting the fans and club staff.
