What would you do if Brown decided to give you ?450 Quid ? I reckon the government here would have been better leaving VAT as it was and giving everyone ?450 to spend in January/February using our tax codes. Agreed if they had given everyone a voucher worth say 500 quid with a lifespan of 3 months to spend it, this would have worked better than the vat reduction, which no one has really noticed.
