loveofthegame
If Hearts had a % mate, no matter how high or low a fee we got - we owe them the %. Its a couple of hundred thousand of K? Pay it and move on. Tough one, but Hearts misfortune is not Arbroath's fault. Possibly mate- all depends on the exact wording of the transfer contract we signed with them i guess. If we owe them something id love us to just pay it for all its probably worth- unfortunately it'll probably never be as simple as that I work for a law firm and have seen first hand how difficult it can be getting Hearts to pay up whether they owe or not(can say no more)
Gigolo-Aunt
I work for a law firm and have seen first hand how difficult it can be getting Hearts to pay up whether they owe or not(can say no more) Have heard the same mate. But, I have heard a few clubs leave the money in the account as long as they can. Was thinking, lets say Hearts got 150k How much of a GREAT piece of PR and a V's to the rulers that Hearts gave ALL the money to Arbroath. Say it's disgusting the ruling with a small club being screwed as well. Im thinking to much.
Geoff Kilpatrick
What really annoyed me was that UEFA and FIFA drew up these rules for Article 17, Webster didn't meet them and yet he was still allowed in the end to exercise this clause. The whole thing is a farce. As for Arbroath, they would be better off suing Wigan and Rangers as well.
