Ivan Drago Posted February 7, 2008 Share Posted February 7, 2008 was using someone elses laptop the other day with the latest windows and MS word, saved the word document onto my usb stick but now on my laptop its appearing as an ODT file? At the bottom of the window you can select the file type .doc is the default. click the dropdown arrow and select xml. Then click on the file and it converts it for you.
