hoof.hearted
Right, there must be a totally obvious answer to this but I cannot get it at all ! Try this http://www.milaadesign.com/wizardy.html & tell me how the hell it works. Thanks.
tommythejambo
The way it's done there is only certain numbers you can get and they all have the same number. I think...

I P Knightley
All multiples of 9 have the same symbol. The adding of digits and subtracting always gives you a multiple of 9. Number 9's a magic number. Try this one (I'm sure I did this on the last server): Think of a 3 digit number - preferably with 3 different digits Reverse it (123 becomes 321) Subtract the smaller from the bigger (321-123 = 198) reverse that answer (198 to 891) Add the last two numbers (198+891) Whatever you started with, the answer's 1089. Try it in the pub with 1089 already written down. The chicks love that; they really do. Especially if you've written it on a 'private place'

hughesie27
I even tried to trick it by looking at a different symbol! Try the same number twice. It will always be a multiple of 9 so it makes 9..18..27..37..45..54..63..72..81..90..99..108 etc all the same symbol.
I P Knightley
Yes, it works in theory, but theres 89 symbols it can choose, how does it pick the right one? They might randomise the symbols each time the relevant screen comes up so that it's not the same one every time. Try again but look at 9, 18, 27, 36 etc (not just your number) and you'll see that all of them have the same symbol. It's similar to the trick with face cards. I show you five face cards; you concentrate on one. I put them in the pack and deal out four face cards - yours is missing. What you've missed is that the four I deal out weren't in the first five. By asking you to concentrate on only one, you don't check the other four. Unless you're a smart-arse like my 8-year-old son.

bn jambo
I,ve done it 4 times now and it's been a different symbol everytime...Always right...I Don't get it! what ever you do it is always a multiple of nine, think about it , 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90 look at these numbers on the grid they are always the same symbol, thats how it works, the symbols change but multiples of nine are always the same.
