Hearts Heritage

Saturday is the 130th anniversary of 1st game of 5 in the EFA Cup Final of 'Heart of Mid-Lothian vs Hibernian'. This game and subsequent replays are arguably the most significant in Derby History

These games were very significant as the established 'The Heart' and 'Hibernians' as the two premier sides in Edinburgh and East of Scotland football. The likes of 'Thistle', 'Hanover' and '3rd Edinburgh RV' were never again seen as the 'big clubs.

"The Hearts players did not seem to be altogether in trim" ... was Malofeev taking pre-season in those days too ?

Never mind jumpers for goalposts ... this was in the days of tapes for crossbars !

Brilliant.

(These copies are great, but could do with a legible transcript below ...)
