whats the best way to book to get a cheap weekend package etc

Book your hotel through expedia & your flight with easyjet, I found that the cheapest way.

Stayed at a hotel called Andel at Andel station, nice hotel & 2 or 3 stops to Wencelass square.

Have a wee look at http://www.allpraha.com for Prague info and for flights direct from Edinburgh http://www.jet2.com and from Glasgow http://www.flyglobespan.co.uk also look at http://www.skyscanner.net for other bargain flights.

Hotels best deals on http://www.expedia.co.uk or http://www.lastminute.co.uk or I have some contacts for apartments, one being http://www.prague-central.com which helped a good few jambos with accommodation when you played over here in 2006 and also http://www.czechpoint.co.uk

Must see when with the bird; Castle, Clock, Old Town Square, River Cruise, Petrin Tower

When with the lads; Dwarf in Darlings, Sex Museum, Goldfingers, Red Light Bar

Let me know if you need any more info.

Dobro Noc.

Nice hotel, with nice views of the city skyline. Location no the best, but right on the metro line, make sure your home before 12midnight as the metro stops or it is wee walk over the road bridge or taxi from town.

If your getting taxi use AAA they won't rip you off, you can use them from the airport (cant miss them they are painted yellow. Don't use the silver ones) or better still use the mini buses, they are half the price.

Avoid Wenceslas Square at night - sleazy as it gets. Also avoid overpriced 'Irish' and 'English' pubs. Old Town is better. St Vitus Cathedral is a must, and the walk up the hill helps to clear a hangover. Seriously good cheap grub available if you shop around, but beware garlic soup

Best thing ever for a hangover.

But yes, avoid the Irish/Birt bars, pop in to what will probably look like a dirty dodgey Czech pub and you will be amazed at the prices, hospitality and quality of the food/drink.

Wenceslav Square is getting better, their is not as much Africans trying to get you to goto the strip bars.

Best bet is to head into the district behind the muzeum (Vinohrady) at the top of Wen Sq this is where most Czech and Expats head for a very good night out, lots of bars, clubs and restaurants.
