Doc Rob
Truth is that it doesn't matter what Hearts announce now, however good it sounds - people will queue up to put as negative a spin on it as possible. I suppose this is inevitable given the nonsense we have had to put up with in recent times, but it does get a bit wearing.

Sconnie
Frail doesn't have his coaching badges, so he can't be classed as a managerial candidate. If he does get the job however, there will be an uproar.

marshallschunkychicken
It's called attention seeking in Public. Put up or shut up I say;) I would imagine it's Beuzelin going from Hibs. They're supposed to be signing Rankin and/or another midfielder, so when that is completed, the French lad is off to West Brom. Hans007 kicks about with him according to previous threads. Feel free to correct if wrong.

kevmacd
From the Daily Express today: Named Manger Linked to Hearts (never heard of him but no surprise there!): Former Stoke City boss Gudjon Thordarson is the shock name in the frame to become the next manager of Hearts. Express Sport understands the former Icelandic national coach is a serious contender to take over the post that was vacated by Valdas Ivanauskas last season. Thordarson is currently in charge of Akranes back in his homeland but has a clause in his contract that he can leave if he gets a better offer. The 52-year-old is well aware of Hearts' interest and would want to take former Dundee and Dunfermline striker Ross Jack, who is a qualified SFA coach, as part of his backroom staff. Hearts announced on New Year's Day that they were looking for a new boss, with British experience, to work with first-team coach Stevie Frail and Tynecastle over-lord Anatoly Korobochka. Thordarson certainly has that in abundance via his spells in charge of Stoke City, Barnsley and Notts County. The Icelander is well up Vladimir Romanov's shortlist, as the Lithuanian-based millionaire looks to make an appointment that will bring some much-needed stability to Tynecastle and drag them out of the relegation fight. Romanov has also vowed to stop meddling in first-team affairs, as more than seven men have taken charge of the side in his four seasons at Tynecastle: John Robertson, George Burley, Graham Rix, John McGlynn, Valdas Ivanauskas, Eduard Malofeev and now current caretaker Frail. kevmacd
Gudjon Thordarson THE former Icelandic boss became the manager who never was as he agreed to take over on an interim basis to " steady the ship" as the Hibs board sought a replacement for Williamson. But on the morning he was due to start work he phoned chairman Rod Petrie, with whom he had struck the deal the night before, to say he wouldn't be coming to Easter Road after all. I like him more already!
