BNP members list leaked - allegedly

Guest Alex Guttenplan

Recommended Posts

was just reading the article on the BBC website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7736794.stm

Now I detest the BNP and what they stand for, its a party for racists and no excuse can hide that but I want to know who are these people who are phoning the people on the list with abusive phone calls. Surely they are as bad as some things the BNP do.

I dont get the urge to phone a stranger just because an list is published.

Students wanting a laugh possibly?

It's absolutely outrageous that this list has been leaked. The perpetrators should be pursued by the authorities and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Why ? What have the "perpetrators" done wrong ? Thought you were all in favour of free speech.

Or does that not apply to the publishing of the names and addresses of the members of a political party ?

Surely you cant be suggesting that anyone on the list might be embarrassed to find themselves on there ?

:o

I am still very capable of being funny if that is my intention.

I'm trying to make a serious point. This is just the latest example of shoddy data security procedures, and it's particularly worriying that it's being used for political ends against a legitimate political party. Personally, the fewer organisations that hold data and information about me, the happier I am because recent events show that details will leak out, either deliberately or accidentally.

If you were a member of the BNP and your details had been leaked then would you cancel your membership?

Theoretically speaking of course.

I've seen the list and did not notice any SPL players however I don't know all the players who play for minor SPL clubs. There was the name of a player who is on loan down south but could just be someone with the same name.

For interest only about 15 members from Edinburgh on the list.

If there are any footballers on the list we still live in a free country and the choice to be a member is there's.

Wow one of the SPL footballers who has a namesake on the list has apparently withdrawn from the international team tonight for family reasons

Seems a rather big coincidence

This is a joke! If I were Lucas I would claim for unfair dismissal.

I think the BNP are a bunch of *******s but themselves and their members have every right to believe in what they believe without fear of repurcussion. The fact this information is going to be used as a hit list by left wing vigilantes is as repugnant as people not standing up for the principle of democracy.

Doormat Britain indeed. We all know if this was reversed and a list of extreme left members was revealed there would be no such witch hunt.

Who is the SPL footballer who has withdrawn from the team tonight for family reasons ?

I wont name him as I dont think the mods will approve

However an SPL midfielder has withdrawn from their international team tonight for "family reasons" and did have a namesake on the list who lived in close proximity to him at the time the list was compiled.

A little bit of investigation will do you the job though :)

That's what I was thinking. Robson withdrew this morning due to a tightening of his thigh.

Perhaps TalkSport feel that Lucas is not a suitable face for their company? No witch hunt, just their choice.

I did today until I saw the withdrawal, it is a common name, but at the time he played for a club less than 10 miles away from his namesakes address

Add to that the very late withdrawal for "family reasons" and the comment that he may still make it even upto kick off and the fact those on the list are getting calls and visits

Its almost like he has a more pressing matter to deal with today

I doubt its him but its certainly a lot of coincidences

Mods - that's not the link to the list, more a link to a secure database. You'll probably remove it anyway :P

Thats brillant

I bet a few HR departments will be enjoying that:rolleyes:

I think the fact we are getting so many hits and appearing so far up the google links re this means we need to be careful what is being posted.

Whilst we can discuss the content, I would imagine any postage of the links is very risky, as its in breach of a legal injuction and also the fact those who originally released it broke DPA.

I would really appreciate if someone could PM the SPL player names.

Can I also suggest people are very careful about what they say/pm to new members.

I know, it must be so bad for anyone who's name is on that list.

Imagine if that person's name was passed around, without them knowing it. I mean it could be anyone. I mean, you would be really nervous if it was you or someone you suspected for a long time anyway...Someone you argued with that has those views...

Then again, it may be a relief, you know, like criminals who secretly want to be caught and confess their crimes.

There are some rheally suspicious pheople out there...

Why? Have you invited the villiage people onto the board? I don't play for that team, so to speak.

However, on a serious note, if you and your BNP armada could shove together a few braincells, you'd be able to do that quite easily. Then you could come round to mine in deepest darkest Bonnyrigg and vandalise/terrorise me, without a hint of irony.

I think I would be more interested in seeing a list of local taxi operators who are not planning to rip the fecking p i s h out of clients by doubling or tripling prices over Christmas/New Year.

Someone wants to join the BNP that is their choice, I believe it is legitimate even if some do not agree with it.

Just out of interest, if National Socialists in Germany were referred to as Nazis, and those who join the BNP are classed as Nazis, why is the same accolade not given to those who join the SNP. I assume if you have Nationalist feelings of any sort you could be labelled/classed as a fascist, depending on which derivation of the word you use.

I aint no BNP activist but people have a right to believe in what they want in a democracy without somebody posting a link to where they stay on a public forum while hiding behind a fecking computer. You knew what you were doing when you posted the link:cool: You would be shaking in your wee shoes if someone posted your private information on a website.

Could not agree more Therapist.

Yes, I am on the list.....along with another very well known KB'er (with lots of posts). We have both been members for over three years, should give some of the leftist hand wringers on here some ammo towards me.

Do I care? not a jot! I am neither ashamed nor embarrassed to be a member of the BNP. Most of the people who shout nazi racists have never actually read or listened to what they have to say...rather stick their fingers in their ears and sing la la la I'm not listening.

I have shown some support for them on here before, but denied I was a member as it just wasn't worth the hassle at the time....I lied, so sue me!

And before any plonker asks who the other is, its not for me to say.

ps. I make no apology either!
