Rangers fail to sign Italian striker as he opts to sign for Serie B side Brescia instead.Well if Rangers sitting top of the SPL and still in the UEFA Cup cannot attract players what hope for the rest of us.Even Scots players in the EPL need a hell of alot of convincing as in McFadden choosing a relegation fight with Birmingham instead of Euro football with Celtic and Dailly took a hell of alot of convincing to join Rangers on loan.

Our league is $#!te. We're run by a bunch of carnival carnies in it only for the Scotland away games. They answer to no one even when its obvious there are problems. Why would any decent foreigner want to ply their trade in Scotland other than in Glasgow. Dailly came only to win things at the end of his career and he cant fail playing for either of the OF.

Its been like this for a few years though now and its all about the money. There's no way any club in the SPL can compete with the EPL clubs or even Championship sides from a financial point of view. And for many players now, the money is all that matters.

The standard of the SPL is, imo, pish and dropping.

No competition, poor grounds/pitches/facilities, little ??, little coverage outside Scotland, and is run by a bunch of ******s.

Who'd want to come here apart from much lower league players from around Europe, Scotsmen etc?!

On a more positive outlook, in the last 6 months we've sold Hutton for ?9m, Gordon for ?9m, Brown for ?4 and also in the Premiership McFadden was bought for ?6m so people are willing to pay top dollar for Scottish talent now which is almost unheard of.
