BigDaveJ
David Gray - The One I Love Gonna close my eyes Girl and watch you go Running through this life darling Like a field of snow As the tracer glides In its graceful arc Send a little prayer out to ya ‘cross the falling dark Tell the repo man And the stars above You’re the one I love Perfect summers night Not a wind that breathes Just the bullets whispering gentle ‘mongst the new green leaves There’s things I might have said Only wish I could Now I'm leaking life faster Then I'm leaking blood Tell the repo man And the stars above You’re the one I love You’re the one I love The one I love Don’t see Elysium Don’t see no fiery hell Just the lights up bright baby In the bay hotel Next wave coming in Like an ocean roar Won’t you take my hand darling On that old dancefloor We can twist and shout Do the turtle dove And you’re the one I love You’re the one I love The one I love
Jamie_the_Jambo
Relative to everything else the Ramones did, it was about a quarter of the pace and it was about love so it could be classed a ballad. Love song for sure, though. (Who wrote it? I'm sure it wasn't the Ramones and it's bugging me. Cheers.) Romeo & Juliet - Dire Straits[/QOTE] Rubettes is my guess

Jambojohnnyboy
I remember listening to the radio one saturday afternoon think it was forth one, anyway they were taking requests and a woman phoned in to request a song for her pal who was getting married that day and would it be possible to play the 1st dance song. At this point the hosts started talking about 1st dances and the songs that are chosen. They then proceeded to rip the arse out of Amazing by Lonestar how it was really cheesy and possibly the worst ever 1st dance song. They returned to the caller and asked her what song she would like played, the caller reluctantly then asked for Amazing. Quite possibly one of my favourite moments on radio ever.
