There's a lot good about the place, nice and comfortable rooms, friendly welcome, nice gardens and surroundings, etc., but what really makes it stand out is the quality of the food. The cooking there is absolutely superb: really well cooked, good portions, no fancy presentation and not tarted-up or mucked about with, and made with produce from their kitchen garden or sourced locally. Good and interesting wine list too. Dinner,Bed & Breakfast costs from ?70-?95 a head - not really cheap, but definitely worth it once in a while. My girlfriend and I have been there twice and have loved it. If you like walking, sightseeing, and the countryside, etc., there's plenty to do and see around there.
