Your letter was unjustified and made you out to look stupid. Just read again what he said. He was not having a go.

""In the canon of lame football jibes aimed at most hated opponents, Hearts fans' chants of 'Tell all the Hibs you know, it's 106 years in a row'....... ? deserves a high ranking." How can you possibly think he was congratulating us? How can you possibly think he wasn't having a dig at us?

Just read again what he said. He was not having a go. No disrespect meant but I would suggest you read the words again. He most definitely was having a dig, therefore a response was justified, and most certainly did not make the author of said response appear stupid.
