Away Support?

It's definitely down to worrying numbers, I blame having to buy tickets.

But on a (now closed) thread, someone congratulated the 400 Jambos.

From where I was sitting, there seemed more than that, surely?

It seemed like a hell of a lot more than 400.

And there can only of been 100 - 150 empty seats.

Where do you think I was sitting to get a view of the crowd? in my living room?

Ye looked like about 1200 - terrific atmosphere as well in the Hearts section. I always find Aberdeen away the best away day fixture all round - particularly when we win! The fans that make the journey always get right behind the team.

Hardly surprising if the away support wasn't huge. This fixture was sandwiched between an away tie at Motherwell and a trip to Hampden.

Ill be honest with you, I didn't think there was much more than 500 up yesterday.

We only had 1 secftion and it wasn't even full.

Good day out apart from me dozing off for 1 second driving the car back down the road and nearly ending up on the grass verge. My mate will never let me forget it. Really scary.

Need to get to bed earlier the night before an Aberdeen trip!!

Radio Scotland reckoned around 1300.

I agree with them as it was not a bad support at all.

Looked to be around 1,200 from my view point. Seems about right. Once again the backing the team got was superb and they responded well to it. If only we could get the home crowds to do the same.

14,000 in all yesterday.

It was the biggest crowd up there all season apart from Europe and OF games.

The largest Abersheep/Hearts crowd sinse Nov 05

Never went myself (not made of money, sadly), but well done to those who made the effort, glad they got the win for you boys and girls.

See you Wed night. C'mon the Gorgie!!

sometimes you have to pick and choose your games. End of a long month, sandwiched between two other away games and the team not exactly firing on all cylinders. Credit to those who made the effort.

I seen the attendance quoted as well, and must admit to being amazed at that number. I did not think there was anywhere near as many as that there, in fact when I walked in my first thought was "well the Aberdeen fans haven't turned out for this fixture either". There were huge gaps in the home end, and as for the Hearts support I would have guessed it at around 800 possibly, nowhere near as low as 400 but I do not think it was as high as 1,200 either. We had more at the Celtic CIS Cup game for example, and I think we took around 1,000 tops to that game.
