Hopefully a 2nd league clean sheet in a row will boost our defenders confidence. Subs smacked of Romanov but it all worked out fine! Banks - 6 - decent handling, 1 great save low to his right, shoddy kicking Neilson - 8 - fine game, solid in defence, good use of ball Karipidis - 6 - did fine Berra - 6 - did fine Goncalves - 5 - much better Jonsson - 7 - wasted on the right, quiet first half, excellent 2nd half Stewart - 6 - not sure of a partnership with Palazuelos, tired in 2nd half Palazeulos - 6 - as per Stewart Mikoliunas - 5 - slightly better in 2nd half Nade - 6 - scored 1 of his 2 chances, needs to get a lot fitter Velicka - 6 - missed sitter for 2nd game in a row, 2 good efforts at goal, better around the park - but does he need to spend so much time pretending to be injured? Beniusis - 7 - did much better than would have thought - 1 good run, 1 good shot, won a few headers Ksnavicius - 5 - should have scored at least 2 on breakaways McCann - 1 - not much time Referee - with the exception of not booking Miller for fouls/diving I thought he actually did okay. Karipidis - 7 Goncalves - 3 - Absolutely woeful. Complete bombscare. Punt him. Miko - 7 - More of the same, please. Stewart - 4 - Poor. Palazuelos - 6 Jonsson - 6 - Not a winger, good 2nd half. Nade - 7 - See Miko. Missed a sitter; still takes too many touches. Velicka - 6 Subs: Beni - 5 - Did well. Audrey - 2 - Poor. Starting to really go off him. Karipidis - 7-strong performance Berra - 8 - MOTM Goncalves - 5 - Better clearly working on his positioning still work needed Jonsson - 6-worked hard in wrong position Stewart - 6 - maybe starting to find some form Palazeulos - 6-a wee bit down on recent performances Mikoliunas - 4-6- poor first better second plays better when the crowd get him going. Nade - 6 - far better keep up the good work Velicka - 6 - worked hard kicked and pushed all game ,cut out the dramatics makes it to easy for the refs to use there bias. Beniusis - 5- pleased for him good effort Ksnavicius - 2 - should have scored ,frail send him for shooting practice McCann - 2- not on for long but good to see him back. team overall good fight,effort looked like they were all working together,still hesitate to often.well done 7. Their useless ****** of a winger never got past him once and he made a few vital clearances, blocks and interceptions. Banks 8 Neilson 8 Berra 7 Karipidis 7 Goncalves 8 Jonsson 7 Stewart 6 Palazeulos 7 Mikoliunas 7 Nade 8 Velicka 8 No matter how bad they are, victories at Pittodrie (especially ones where we should pump them) aren't that common and take a lot of effort and performance to come by. BervieJambo Posted January 28, 2008 Share Posted January 28, 2008 First chance I've had to put my thoughts down since Saturday Banks 7 - some good saves and organised the defence well, but kicking needs to improve. Neilson 8 - My MOM very solid and let nothing past him all day Karapidis 7 - developing a good understanding with Berra. One mix-up in the 1st half could have cost us but Neilson cleared. Berra 7 - Given a tough time by Miller's pushing and diving, but handled him well. Goncalves 6 - improved as the game wore on Jonsson 7 - Out of position, but put in a shift Stewart 6 - covered every blade with mixed results Palazuelos 6 - tried to pass the ball, but the conditions were not the best for this. Mikoluinas 7 - tireless working. Not sure about the penalty/dive (not seen it again yet - work PCs don't allow me to view the BBC highlights). His head was clearly lifted by the supporters chanting his name (take note everyone) Nade 6 - Took goal well, but should have scored earlier. Has a good touch but looks lazy & unfit most of the time. Velicka 8 - Worked his socks off all game. With him throwing his (rather muddy) shirt to the crowd at the end, have we seen the last of him? On Saturday's performance, I seriously hope not!
