Who knew there was a James Murphy autotune setting! It’s the best one as he’s clearly not taking himself seriously. Unlike the twee shite from Belle and Sebastian and all the other Glasgow Uni twats.

He embodies that Byres Road "culture" better than anyone else...and that isn't a good thing. I used to play 5s / 7s with Stuart on Tuesdays at Firhill (the sports complex not the Thistle ground). Ayr Utd fan, still gets along to the occasional game. Always has time for a chat when I see him about and quite the opposite of insufferable (whatever that is - surely not sufferable )

Anyway, I'm seeing him running in that video and thinking - he's a proper runner there, not just sprinting along for the video. Looked him up and turned out he ran a sub 3 hour marathon, so obviously quite the sporty guy!
Special Agent Dale Cooper Posted June 3 Posted June 3 ‘Get Me Away From Here I’m Dying’ by Belle & Seb is perhaps my favourite song yet written. …but this one… erm nah.

The classic astro knee injury, which so many have succumbed to, stopped him playing. He was a decent player - in as much we were a bunch of dandy fopps playing fives - but he never stopped running. An actual athlete.

briever Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Partick Thistle fans will be fapping into a frenzy. Not a bad song.

maroonspecs Posted June 4 Posted June 4 I like Belle and Sebastian but that is skin-crawlingly twee even by their standards. Lyrics sound like they were outsourced to a primary school.

Steve Clarke produces a football team that churns out mostly unwatchable pish for people who think Hampden is a great stadium and that dancing about like a tit in annill-fitting kilt and Adidas Sambas is an acceptable pursuit. The only crossover should be that Steve Clarke looks like he’s constantly needing to itch a dose of thrush he got from licking railings. Both are, for the avoidance of doubt, utter keech. Thank you for your attention to this matter. COTB. Even their band name is pretentious as hell .
