My first was Tollcross Hearts, 1977, leaving from Wilsons on Albert Street,  King's theatre if heading south or the Doocot, whenever heading north!

Think it did run from North Edinburgh but the only Bus I remember picking up from the Kings Theatre  was the Colinton  Mains Bus.

Might have done so at some point though.

Those living in the area should bring back, the Stockbridge, Craigleith and Blackhall branch (SCAB Hearts) supporters clubs.

It was always a fun bus back in the 70’s.

The Manor was the most outrageous and dangerous with some real nutters! Good fun then though and thanks for the memories Tiny, Crawler (aka Fat Boab) and Rab Anderson.

Crawler was in fact Graeme Blackwood co-author of some Hearts books with David Speed who I was at school with at Boroughmuir! Good Jambo’s sadly Graeme is no longer with us.

The only person I knew from Morningside that went on that bus, was Ian Wallace. He always wore a leather trenchcoat!

Didn’t know him, but I was only a teenager then and Bucks looked after me as I was also from Oxgangs.

I remember that Queen of the South game, Robbo equaliser, to take it to a replay. I went home with blood on my cap, my mum, phoned my uncle going mad. "Awe sis it's cool it's no the bairns blood"!😀

I'm not living in that area anymore Morgan. I was also never a member of that supporters club and nor did I ever use the bus. Because I lived in the area I knew a lot of the guys on the bus though. At that time I travelled with the Tranent bus. Pick up was at the west end of London Road or Haymarket station.

Not sure how many supporters clubs we have now but I recall 51 yes 51 buses at Third Lanark in 1964/65 season! We actually won 5 - 1 that day!

The Colinton Mains bus didn't leave until wee Ronnie decided to walk the 20 yards from his front door even if we were sitting there for half an hour

Off track slightly but a  while back there was a post regarding a Hearts supporters club starting up in the north east or north of Scotland and whether there was interest, did anything come of it?

Seems a good place to ask this - is there still a Hearts bus that goes from Livi to home and away games?  Recently introduced parking restrictions in the west of Edinburgh have made taking the car in on occasion a bit of a Gareth.

Thought I'd bump this back up, is the Tollcross Hearts bus still running?

I remember being sat at the back with the badge turned upside down with the green cloth, on my knee, as they played crackers on it!

A great education for a seven year old!

Over the years I went with Colinton Mains, The Pivot and The Rainbow. I even ran a mini-bus from the Swiss Cottage for a season.  By far the best fun was the Pivot.  Great memories, great stories. Some absolute characters, some of whom  are still great pals. So, thanks for the memories Franny Harvey and all the others.
