Davis blatantly cheated and convinced Shug Dallas to give an non-existent penalty. Here McLean is given visual evidence after his VAR colleague tells him to stop the ball IN PLAY he is so convinced it is a penalty and, despite the clear visual evidence, he still doesn't give it.

Shooter McGavin Posted May 9 Posted May 9 (edited) I actually hate claiming to be cheated, but when you can see the Motherwell player standing on Kyzi’s foot, and immediately putting his arms up cause he knows he’s caught him, and then McLean is sent to the monitor to have another look - I just cannot see how that can’t be a penalty at that point. Truly baffling. You just know if that’s a Celtic or Rangers player, they get that penalty no questions asked. It’s harder to make a claim that it’s not cheating, than it is to claim it is cheating. If MacLean was called to monitor for that exact same situation and challenge for Celtic he's not saying no after watching it. He's giving a pen and going on his merry little way.
