Tonight was one of the worst examples of refereeing I have seen this season.

 

Two hand balls within seconds and neither were seen by the referee nor sent to VAR.

 

A clear penalty - not even seen by the referee - only to then be denied by VAR.

 

And a string of fouls on our players ignored whilst normal challenges being given as fouls for Motherwell.

 

If you want to know why Scotland doesn't have referees at the WC, look no further. Our referees look like they belong to a banana republic.

The game is rigged as we know but 1 good thing about that tonight this game would have been watched by a lot of folk who will see how bad the officials are.

I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I've seen a ref sent to the monitor and not give the decision, it's a clear penalty.

Its cheating. Its not incompetent. Its cheating.

 

The penalty is disgusting. But like op says, it was all night, Motherwell allowed to foul with impunity while we're pulled up for very little.

 

The foul on Altena at the edge of the box is an assault, we dont even get the freekick. Foul on Leonard which injures him (by Just, already on a yellow and had a deliberate handball). O'Donnells swipe on Kyzi... nothing.

 

It was all night. The guy went out to give us nothing

 

How anyone can look at the penalty and not give it is just wild.

 

And he'll be patted on the back and get a game next week.

It is clear as day. It was a penalty. He lunges into him, steps on his foot which results in him falling down unable to take the ball passed to him. It is a penalty.

I will ONCE AGAIN say that we need to implement the PGMOL guidance that would prohibit referees with a interest in a game refereeing that game. That would mean no more Dickenson, Beaton, Walsh or Clancy in Rangers or Celtic games. 

 

We need a complete and utter overhaul of the refereeing association in the country. 

 

It is time to demand the club bring forward a proposal over the summer to stop this nonsense once and for all.

To be fair, the penalty wasn't denied by VAR. They looked at it, and thought the ref had got it wrong by not awarding it. How McLean could watch the replay and not think, "well, that's a tough one, but it's still a clear foul" is beyond me.  Not VAR's mistake.  All on McLean

Tbh at the time I thought Kyzi's wasnt a pent. Seen them given though.

 

I thought Longelo clearly handled the ball in the box first half which should've been a clear pen.
