2 mid table mediocre EPL teams going through the motions in a friendly, sounds great.

Advertised as a 'glamour' friendly!

They will be well supported.

While everyone else will be staying in to watch PSG v Villa in the UEFA Supercup later.

Really the Liverpool Napoli game was a bore fest. They just play there to steal our money. The product is gash.

You must work for the company that runs this keek.

How are they stealing? You have a choice if you go.

Absolute drama queens. 😂

Because they advertise games like the Liverpool Napoli game and you pay your cash and Liverpool reserves turn up.

Everyone is aware it's pre season and teams will be under strength or multiple subs made.

It's not theft. Christ, how do some people get through a day. 😂

And the difference between either of those two friendlies is what exactly?

My grandsons are Newcastle fans and none of them are going. Too expensive to watch the reserves

Not really no. I just have a very low tolerance for stupid people that are unable to grasp simple concepts.

Would love to see a pre season so called friendly football match at Murrayfield between Celtic & Rangers so they could kick the …. out of each other in front of a well behaved sell out crowd.

Other than that NAH!!

I would consider it if reasonable price as I don't mind Everton but not paying those prices.

This has happened a few times at Murrayfield and tbh not a huge fan.

I think if a team is going to set up a friendly they should play an Edinburgh team.

That is my opinion however.

The £35 tickets will be in the corners I bet or low down in the west stand miles away from the pitch. I remember when we played there before our main stand was finished they put my season ticket in the west stand and you had a running track in front of you and the view was ****.

Much better spending your money in the Hearts shop and benefiting our own club rather than multibillionaires in this case !

Just a tester for the barcodes potentially playing a season at Murrayfield when they finally sort their stadium potential rebuild out.

They would have to work around the Autumn Internationals and Six Nations

£12 for basic chips and cheese and don’t expect a supper, burger or hotdog for less than £20.

I went to the Liverpool v Napoli one years ago at Murrayfield as my friend has a spare ticket and it just seemed very plastic and commercialised.

The EPL is all very corporate, played on the whole in silence due to boredem.

That's nonsense, chips are about £6 and a burger £10.

Is it possible we have a game on the same night?

Having slagged off this game I have since thought about it a bit and we could benefit in the club shop, especially with The Mags if we emphasize the Tyne in Tynecastle. :munny:

Maybe not buddy, maybe not. But if people are spending money on things it's kinda on them to make informed decisions, or not. 😂

Money into Edinburgh. It'd be good to see pubs rammed for a midweek afternoon sesh.

No, but we will be playing the night before or after, maybe not in Edinburgh though. We'll either be in the second leg of Champions League Round 3, which is only being played on Tuesday 11th, or the second leg of Europa League Round 3, which is on Thursday 13th.

I think there's a world wide deal in place to play glamour friendlies across the world.

What's Newcastle v Everton got to do with glamour friendlies?

Maybe have a mobile Hearts shop outside Murrayfield, with Colin Chisholm singing "Your cash spent in Tynie's all oors, all oors"?

Have seen this chat of Newcastle potentially using Murryfield if they redevelop but surely its a complete non starter! It would logistically impossible to navigate around the egg chasing, and then either us or the wee team playing. Plus home and away fans travelling from down south! Police Scotland would knock that idea on its head before it even got off the ground.

Watch out if we drop to ELQ3 and draw Salzburg. Their stadium hosts the UEFA Supercup on Aug 12 so ties might be switched.

It does seem to be a poor piece of scheduling.

Imagine we got our ties switched and had to play away in the second leg cause if this pish!

Nobody is wound up. That's a poor narrative usual spun by morons unable to grasp simple concepts.

It'll be full of folk who have season tickets for Sky Sports but have been to about four games in their whole life, paying a fortune to watch a kick about. I can't imagine anything worse.

Yeah, its not for me. No disrespect to folk that want to go.

Friendlies are the worst generally speaking, Its a bit different if its your team but paying through the nose for a glorified kick about that won't be played with any meaningful consistency and probably won't have any actual stars playing is a bit grim.

Should be a good family day out for anyone going though :)

Simple reason these “glamour games “ at Murrayfield are staged every year is they are extremely successful and make the organisers a lot of money.

People can moan, criticise and chastise all they want but they have all sold out previously (or as near as dammit).

Think I will pass.

No interest in this for me.  I'd rather watch Bonnyrigg Rose play a friendly in the local park.

Wee man (weeman?) talk coming out from the same poster who finds it hilarious to ask about another persons penis size, and if they are a virgin.

Rib-tickling stuff, by the way.
