BIG ECK Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Would love to see a pre season so called friendly football match at Murrayfield between Celtic & Rangers so they could kick the …. out of each other in front of a well behaved sell out crowd. Other than that NAH!!
Davethehatman Posted May 31 Posted May 31 I would consider it if reasonable price as I don't mind Everton but not paying those prices.

ModJambo Posted May 31 Posted May 31 This has happened a few times at Murrayfield and tbh not a huge fan. I think if a team is going to set up a friendly they should play an Edinburgh team. That is my opinion however.
All roads lead to Gorgie Posted May 31 Posted May 31 The £35 tickets will be in the corners I bet or low down in the west stand miles away from the pitch. I remember when we played there before our main stand was finished they put my season ticket in the west stand and you had a running track in front of you and the view was ****. Much better spending your money in the Hearts shop and benefiting our own club rather than multibillionaires in this case !
Montgomery Brewster Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Just a tester for the barcodes potentially playing a season at Murrayfield when they finally sort their stadium potential rebuild out.

All roads lead to Gorgie Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Having slagged off this game I have since thought about it a bit and we could benefit in the club shop, especially with The Mags if we emphasize the Tyne in Tynecastle.

jambo1975 Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Have seen this chat of Newcastle potentially using Murryfield if they redevelop but surely its a complete non starter! It would logistically impossible to navigate around the egg chasing, and then either us or the wee team playing. Plus home and away fans travelling from down south! Police Scotland would knock that idea on its head before it even got off the ground.

Stupid Sexy Flanders Posted June 1 Posted June 1 It'll be full of folk who have season tickets for Sky Sports but have been to about four games in their whole life, paying a fortune to watch a kick about. I can't imagine anything worse.

I can't imagine anything worse. Yeah, its not for me. No disrespect to folk that want to go. Friendlies are the worst generally speaking, Its a bit different if its your team but paying through the nose for a glorified kick about that won't be played with any meaningful consistency and probably won't have any actual stars playing is a bit grim. Should be a good family day out for anyone going though
Portable Badger Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Simple reason these “glamour games “ at Murrayfield are staged every year is they are extremely successful and make the organisers a lot of money. People can moan, criticise and chastise all they want but they have all sold out previously (or as near as dammit).
GinRummy Posted June 2 Posted June 2 For kiddy on football fans. The boy in his 50’s that wears a Newcastle top to the pub and has been to Newcastle once 30 years ago.
davemclaren Posted June 2 Posted June 2 No interest in this for me. I'd rather watch Bonnyrigg Rose play a friendly in the local park.
