Aberdeen taking some points off the Old Firm next season can be helpful.

Aberdeen just announced Brad Lyons and Lewis Mayo.

Filling the squad with Killie players doesn't seem wise when you consider Killie's recent record at Pittodrie

It almost feels like Aberdeen's thinking is "Hearts signed a Scottish player from Killie and almost won the league, if we can sign two then we will win the league."

They've just added an Austrian midfielder too.

Is Matty Tod the one with the specs? Not suggesting him for us but he's looked decent the few times I've seen him play

Andy (the speccy one) has now been added to the 4 other players (incl McFarland and Wilson) training with the Scotland squad this week.

He looks like a decent player. He also reminds me of Christopher from 911

Can see this Andy going to our neighbours across the East Side.

Aberdeen will be in another relegation battle next year.

BBC Gossip reporting that Desmond's talking to O'Neill about the Celtic job next week and Hatate could be sold this summer.

Looking at social media today and apparently Celtic have come up with a genius plan to empty a lot of players and replace them with better ones. Yet we let 4 go and it’s some sort of mass cruel dumping of players and a borderline crisis.

With recruitment at Celtic the way it is, unless there is big improvement I would be wary if I was a Celtic fan at the ability to replace Maeda (who is desperate to leave,) Engels (who is rumoured to be off to Forrest) and Hatate. Feels like they had to rely a lot on the old guard last season.

Maloney is apparently going to be the new sporting director.

Does feel all half hearted from the Celtic board. Just keeping things as they are, if everyone questions them just point to the double (its why I think in the long run, Celtic winning the league may back fire on them.)

Their recruitment since Big Ange left has been appalling, look forward to Celtic making a real pig's ear of their rebuild

O'Neill needs a year of good income by all accounts.

Yup. Of the players signed last season only really Iheanacho (when they got him fit) and Nygren (shite player but scores goals) had any meaningful impact.

Celtic sticking with the Pepsi Max and the OAP would be interesting. I don't think its sustainable at all. They were literally handed the league by officials and limped through games.

It’s another area they get a free pass from the press. They sign huge amounts of players very few of whom have any meaningful impact on the team.

Which is exactly why we should be confident that within the next few years we'll win a title. Celtic's recruitment has been excellent at times but it's been at best patchy for the past 3-4 seasons. Rangers haven't got it right since Gerrard left.

Would agree with that, you could add Tierney but that was more luck as if he had any real ambition he would have gone to a higher league rather going back to a cosy "in football wise" life.

Of course, normally its along the lines, well they have a few misses but they sold one player for big money therefor the recruitment is working. Never the fact that most players they sign are poor or come with big hype and little product.

I totally forgot about Tierney. Technically signed the season prior I suppose as he was a PCA.

We've heard all the chat about `how will Hearts replace Shankland's goals?` Well, has anybody in the media asked the question - `how will Celtic replace Maeda's goals?`  If he leaves, he will be incredibly difficult to replace.

Findlay, technically we didn't sign him from Killie as he was on loan to them from Oxford, the same with us this season. But mean more they were at Killie last season and now at Hearts.

Atletico Madrid admin on Twitter seems to have lost their mind. Star Striker Alvarez linked to Barca the last few days.

Obviously the sensible approach is making 2 statements, the first saying their eagerly awaiting Barcelona to accept a pack of Sunflower Seeds for Yamal, next one is the same post but signing Pedri for 6 concert tickets

To be fair, I think their net spend overall in the past 10 years or so isn’t too bad (Dembele, Édouard, Tierney, O’Reilly etc). If they get 25m for Engels it will be another big profit.

Aside from the cheating, Maeda finding form for them in the run in was what got them back into it for the title. When he wasn't firing they were hopeless.

They’ve got a rebuild to do regardless of Maeda staying or going. All their strikers are out of contract, McGregor is another year older and isn’t getting any better and if they lose one, or more, of Maeda, Nygren or Engles that’s pretty much the only real quality they have.

Considering their fans are impatient brats and their transfer business has been pretty woeful recently I don’t think there’s any guarantee they’ll be much better than this season.

Especially if they rely on so many late loans like last season.

Desmond is delightfully destroying that club with the lack of Director in place, Manager, Recruitment, etc…… Long may it continue.

Remember back in the day when we were slagged off for signings not made by the manager, they are linked to plenty players already, just paper talk maybe but if not then who's making those decisions when they don't have a football structure in place.

Am I reading this right that Robbie Keane, with Scott Brown and Stephen Glass as assistants, are meant to be Desmonds choice for the Celtic job? God I hope that's true, the fans will go mental.
