Philfigo Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I have a the fear that Rangers will come in for him! There comment from there CEO about buying players who know the Scottish game have given me a complex, especially after Shankland debacle.

If Devlin ends up at Rangers, no disrespect, but they’re never closing the gap / extending the gap whichever way you wanna look at it. His performances last season were his absolute ceiling. Probably higher than that.

Think Cammy will stay and become captain.

I really hope he does.

I really hope he does. Yeah, I think we've got a better chance of keeping him than not. Cammy gets the club on a level that few players I think do - for example, our former captain.. I would love to see Cammy re-sign with us on a long term contract - 4 years, gets the arm band and captains us to silverware next season. Given how few games are needed to win the League Cup, I'd love to go hell for leather for that, take it seriously and get to see Cammy lift silverware.
joondalupjambo Posted May 27 Posted May 27 If his partner is one the "I need to stay near my ma" types then that could be a resign or a trip along the M8. Obviously hope it is us and not TRFC. If on the other hand the partner wants to see the world then we are not getting him and the world is his ostrich.

Fairly sure that he played in the World Cup and managed to get Miessi'sj ersey. Possibly didn't feature in the Asian cup 2 years ago? Nope, he was in the squad and IIRC on the bench but he didn't get one minute's game time. He did famously, as you say, get Messi's jersey.

Strangely enough I was at a football tournament in Blackpool and the team my son was playing against the coach was Elliot Watts brother! One of my son’s teammates is a Rangers supporter and he said to him that his brother would be playing for his team next season. Let’s hope you are bang on with regards Devlin.

Pasquale Posted May 27 Posted May 27 The club should do all they can ti keep Devlin and make him club captain.
Drumjambo Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Cammy will 100% want the captains armband ,I have no doubt he'll re-sign now.
heartsfc_fan Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Hope he stays 100%. Would actually be more gutting if he goes over Shanks.

Oda be a JT Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Was talking to someone at work who ‘claims’ he knows someone close to Cammy - by all accounts he doesn’t want to leave. Also heard some potential crap rumours that he hasn’t passed JTA requirements for next season (I find that hard to believe after how good he was this season) Personally, I think he’s off, unfortunately.

Tynecastle Valhalla Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Cammy surely scores v highly on JTA now his passing has improved a bit. With Beni away in central midfield and also Shankland away being part of the spine it is even more important to retain Cammy now. make him captain.
Shanks Posted May 27 Posted May 27 He will be waiting to see what offers he has after world cup. Usually get players that have an amazing world cup and get a move or contract way above their general ability. If there a no better offers than ours then he may grace us with his presence again.

PTBCAL Posted May 27 Posted May 27 He wants to stay but I heard previously his agent is keen on securing him a move to USA One factor to possibly consider. Can you take a partner to America if not married? Wonder if this could come into play??
The Tackle Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I love Cammy but I think we can do better, not sure I want to watch him passing the ball backwards or sideways for another 2-3 seasons

Devlin has said he’s keen on staying but his agent is keen on him going to the US - why don’t footballers just tell their agents to get quite far to ****? Shouldn’t matter a jot where the agent wants him to go, it’s the players choice that is the final factor surely

mr fox Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Doesn’t bother me if he stays or goes Want to see a new athletic fast moving team. He obviously is keeping his options open, hope hearts don’t wait too long on this. Heres the contract if you sign by end of week ok if not goodbye.

Slightly harder if she wants to work but pretty sure the club he is going to would sort it out.
