pettigrewsstylist Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Ill be watching WC 26. Wont be watching Scotland. Will be embarrassed watching world cringe at Clarkes anti football tho.
Deso1972 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 They can ram it up their collective choruses. Probably just be full of the likes of Hanley, Dykes, Ralston and the other numpties hanging out of Clarkes arse.
vintage1874 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 After the goings on over last couple of weeks will not be watching any Scotland games. Might watch some of the knock out games later if the kick off times are decent.
sprinbox98 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Hope shanks scores a couple and comes out of it in a good light and Craig Gordon at least gets selected for the squad today so he can fulfil a life long dream. On the flip side I hope Scotland get humiliated in every game, Clarke plays his usual tripe of negative football with his loyal players who got him there. i also hope that the whole World Cup is a total mess in the USA with half empty stadiums, transport issues, costs being continually highlighted for the greedy Americans that have shot their prices up. The way they have shafted the fans for this is completely unfair and I hope Karma bites them on the backside.
Luscious Laryea Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Been a loyal Scotland supporter for years and I'll continue to support the team. However, really begrudge lining the SFA coffers after the blatant corruption and favouritism over this season. I'll be giving the Curacao game at Hampden a miss and I'll be buying myself and my kid a Scotland top off one of those dodgy Chinese websites (the authentic one is a rip-off anyway). The thought of funding their gravy train while they laugh at us with their Celtic mates makes me feel sick.
AC Mallin_51 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Not gonna lie I couldn’t care less about the World Cup, perhaps the least interested I’ve ever been. Will watch the Scotland games, hope they do well obviously, won’t particularly bother me much if they don’t. 48 teams is too much, the full thing is a bit of a farce. Trump will no doubt make it about himself too. Roll on July 21st so we can get back to Tynecastle for the CL qualifiers. That’s all I’m arsed for

GrantMac Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Cheer on the most corrupt footballing organisation in Europe who actively scuppered my club's title chances? No thanks, they can rot.
MrBones Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Im going, but i've lost all enthusiasm for it after the weekends events
Pasquale for King Posted May 19 Posted May 19 **** the SFA, **** FIFA, **** Trump and this disgustingly overpriced disaster for the environment.
Boab Mugabe Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Hope all SFA emoloyees are denied entry to the US and are treated terribly before being sent back.

Really hope CG and LS make the final cut. BBC Sport has announced it's large team of presenters and commentators. Surprised by how many BBC Scotland pundits are included, including Tom English, Liam McLeod and Chris McLaughlin Is anyone excited for this? Not really. Not because of Saturday but continuous oversights of Hearts players.

The events of the last fortnight and the general mediocrity of the Scotland team means my enthusiasm has dipped to a pretty low level. More concerned that England don't do too well

dannymack Posted May 19 Posted May 19 12 minutes ago, hmfc1984 said: Not really. Not because of Saturday but continuous oversights of Hearts players. One of the main reasons why I turned my back on the National team after 1990 WC. A few seasons later, Craig Levein, John Robertson, Nicky Walker and Alan MacLaren all played in the same team against Germany in think (or maybe Italy) and even then I couldn't bring myself to go through to Ibrox.
gnasher75 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 With Hanley potentially injured, it's even more galling for Halkett that he got injured when he did. Clarke probably still wouldn't have selected him though. By the time it comes round I will be really up for it. This is the Scotland national team playing at their first World Cup since 1998.
selkirkhmfc1874 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 **** the world Cup, honestly no interest in anything the sfa have anything to do with other than Heart Of Midlothian, cheating corrupt barstewards
meister Posted May 19 Posted May 19 If fit Gordon has to start as that defence gives me the fear. Well played Shanks and Gordon, thoroughly deserved. Fair play taking a punt on Curtis.
RustyRightPeg Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Deserved for our lads. Still doesn’t peak my interest however.
boag1874 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Some people really need to separate the SFA and the Scotland National Team. They are not one and the same, the SFA may be the governing body but the team represent the country, not the governing body.
Jamboross Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Ross Stewart is a surprise, but very deserved, inclusion. Will be supporting the players, particularly our two, regardless of my feelings towards the SFA.

I’m still flat after everything that’s happened in the last weeks. But I hope when the World Cup starts I’ll look forward to watching football again. ♥️
VALDOS' Posted May 19 Posted May 19 This will be a welcome distraction once it comes around, overall I'm looking forward to it, love a world cup. As I always say, nothing will compare to Italia 90, but if it's as good as the last world cup that will do nicely.
Tiger Posted May 19 Posted May 19 No Milne is ridiculous, and Findlay is miles ahead of most of that defence.
Bordeaux 03 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Goals this season according to Transfermarkt Shankland: 20 Stewart: 11 Adams: 7 Dykes: 5
Shooter McGavin Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Hope we get humilated, and Shankland comes back fit and ready for next season.
El Prez Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Just now, Bordeaux 03 said: Goals this season according to Transfermarkt Shankland: 20 Stewart: 11 Adams: 7 Dykes: 5 Ranked in order of Clarke's preference: Adams Dykes Stewart * Shankland Hirst. *Scores goals in the Championship. Which will instantly elevate him over Scotland's most prolific all-round striker.
Byyy The Light Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Hope Shankland two foots Tierney in training and when Ralston sticks up for him Shankland knocks him clean out and gets sent home.
Hearts1975 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Can't believe I'm saying this, as prior to the last 2 weeks, there is no way I would have ever contemplated not supporting my country in a major tournament. No way in hell. Yet, here we are. The feeling is gone. We go into it and I just couldn't care less. After the Denmark game, I was on cloud 9. Just dont give a shit anymore.
Mikey1874 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Bowie is unlucky. Interesting the two guys who went to Italy who at time were in the squad ignored. Lennon Miller not playing hurt him.

There's no pace in the squad other than an injury-prone Gannon-Doak so need another option.

manaliveits105 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 There is a togetherness in the squad which is important at tournaments - a bit like Hearts they don’t give up and play for each other - don’t think Hanley will get much time but can see why he wants to keep a happy squad. Unfortunately pure class will usually over come a plucky side but we can hope for 3 or 4 points
