Four of the best movies I've ever seen, Some Like It Hot, The Apartment, The Odd Couple and The Front Page and Jack is in all of them. Some Like It Hot is, in my opinion, the greatest movie of all time. Watch it every year around Christmas as it's almost certain to be shown. Always found Robin Williams worth watching. Showed in Insomnia he was much more than just a comedian.

I first watched it in 1982, aged 14, when it was shown to mark the 20th anniversary of Marilyn's death (feck me I feel old😄). Fell in love with it that night. Who knows how many times I've seen it since. Billy Wilder was a genius.

He told Jasper Carrott he was the funniest stand up he's ever seen. I watched a prog recently and Jasper is still thrilled to this day by the compliment.
JudyJudyJudy Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I forgot to mention Nicolas Cage . He’s terrific cause he’s so unpredictable . A head case . Is in two of my all time favourite films . . The goofy boy friend of Kathleen turner in “ Peggy Sue got married “ and the goofy would be boyfriend of Cher in “ moonstruck “ , then onto to serious roles like “ leaving Las Vegas “ and weird as hell in the recent horror “ long legs “ !’ Also great in action flicks like “ con air “ “ the rock “ face off “ , showing his versatility .
