I'm amazed people think this season isn't due to Tony Bloom. I personally didn't see us remotely on track to doing this without him but fair play to those who did.

We're going to be unbelievable once him and all that goes with him take effect.

He’s been an important part for sure but I’d argue that given how early we are on the JTA journey, he’s not been the  key part. We’ve only scratched the surface JTA-wise and doubt we’ve spent much of the £9M. It’s the manager and players that have dragged us to where we are well ahead of schedule. Bloom’s time in the spotlight will come when we win the Champions League in ten years. This season should mostly be about the coaching staff, players and of course the fans imo.

I don't think its controversial, I think Bloom would agree with you he is not really a guy who has looked for publicity or credit.

Since Budge came in we have been on top of the financial side of things but I do think having him and his rep James Franks on the board are ri a pretty simple view that if you have better players that equals on field success.

Analytics is such a big story in football worldwide its always going to create headlines, which is good for us but probably unfortunate for Bloom who likes to stay under the radar but he is the poster boy for analytics.

👍🏻

Not controversial. Just shite.

I’m putting forth a motion to rename us Tony Bloom FC, and our new kit to just feature his face printed thousands of times with a speech bubble saying “Martin B get it up ye”. All players must legally change their name to Tony Bloom, too, so that we’ll have 11 Blooms on the pitch at all times.

That's fair. It's not a view I agree with though. I think since he's come in and brought staff, belief and Jamestown were totally changed trajectory. I don't believe for a second we'd be where we are, or anywhere close tbh, without him. For me he and what's he's brought has been absolutely pivotal.

That's not to say others haven't played a massive part too though. It's a team game and it needs everyone in the club going with him, which they seem to have done wholeheartedly

It’s serious business this interweb malarky. Accusations of traitorism are completely necessary. 😄

Just voicing my opinion. Heard similar from a couple of others in the pub after the game and no doubt others will be thinking the same.

It’s nothing against Tony and sycophantic was definitely too strong a word.  I love him as much as the next Hearts fan for what he has brought to the club. I just don’t want what could be a generational achievement to be seem mostly through a lens of only happening due to him. He shouldn’t be the main character in this story. The main characters are the manager, coaching team, players and the fans who saved our club. It’s so early on in the JTA journey that you could argue Bloom/JTA is only a supporting character in this season. Braga aside, the spine of our team are players who were here last season. We aren’t in this position if Critchley is still manager.

I get that it’s a controversial opinion but I can guarantee you I’m not the only one to hold it.

A good few of our players contributing were signed via JTA. Braga been the standout but so many have contributed massively this season.

If we get this over the line, the 3% (or whatever it was), should be named and shamed

TBF a lot who voted against the proposal would have been voting against that proposal rather than Bloom getting involved

If you’re referring to me then not a chance. Absolute no brainer to vote to accept the proposal. We’re incredibly lucky to have Tony and JTA on board going forward.

I love that Bloom was in Tynie Arms for the seemingly endless loop of everyone singing "**** you Celtic, we're gonna win the League" to the tune of Yellow Submarine.

Tried to get it going again in Brass on the way home but they were sticking to tried and trusted classics like We Shall Not Be Moved and Claudio Braga.

Shame, as it's an absolute banger.

Hope it gets a run out against Motherwell and Falkirk, but there won't be a need for it at Parkhead. Not unless we change the words from future to past tense.

What has he done for us lately?

48 hours since we last won a game.

What’s the point?

Featured heavily in our Championship winning season but was sung against Rangers.

Pretty sure there was a video of Jamie Walker and a few others in the Tynie singing it the night we won the league.

Commission a painting of him sitting on a throne in the centre circle, in a maroon smoking jacket, holding a crystal glass of the finest malt, with the club crest engraved on it. Only if we win the title ofc or he can gtf.😉

He really is, absolutely love to see it. The Maroon suit as well!

If we do the unthinkable, I wonder how that changes his plans? Access to more money faster could speed up our longer term goals, so I'd be very interested to see what happens on that front.

I'd add that our talisman Shankland chose to stay not only for McInnes but also because of the JTA involvement.

We couldn't have done this without JTA and Bloom.

Worth saying also though, that JTA and Bloom would not be leading the league without McInnes, Halks, Kingsley, Devlin, Spittal etc, etc, etc.

A combined effort where EVERYONE deserves enormous credit.

Oh & us too. Don't forget the part us moaning fekrs are playing. Monday was phenomenal backing 💪😄 👏👏👏

Agree, watched Opengoal who basically said it was only Braga & Kyziridis who had shown up well. They forget Milne, Schwolow, McIntee, Steinwender, Magnusson, Kerjota all JTA players we would never have looked at have all played major parts that will hopefully get us over the line. Some of the other signings have made Cameos and still hope some can make an impact next season.

Didn't think you could make yourself a bigger idiot than you already have, but once again I stand amazed at your stupidity.

You obviously know little about supporting a football team and for you to bring up "disunity" after earlier garbage, is quite astounding.

Secondly, leave the Cross out of your predictably childish insults.  You know NOTHING about that subject or what it truly stands for.  If you did you wouldn't have said it, so again, you're trawling the depths of your ignorance, on BOTH subjects.

If you’re going to call a ST ticket holding, FOH donating Hearts fan a “traitor” then don’t get upset when they have a nibble back at you. 👍🏻

yep it was the same on charlie mulgrews programme basically we are only playjng 5 or 6 players every week - schwalow kyzi and braga plus shanks halks findlay spittal

obviously forgetting our many burst bubbles like when our title hopes ended when shanks and devlin got injured only to be replaced by non-jta ghosts like kabore and leonard

strangely kris boyd has been the most knowledgeable from day 1 - when naisy questioned the january recruitment (not in a bad way) boyd pointed out that a lot of these signings are expected to take several months before they start to flourish like at brighton and usg
