tartofmidlothian Posted May 4 Posted May 4 We go again! More of the same is all any of us want to see.
Boris5115 Posted May 4 Posted May 4 This is going to be one he'll of a difficult game. A win ahead of the uglies meeting on Sunday would be gigantic . Please keep on delivering Del and the Boys.
tiger Rudi Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Couldn't get a ticket..............so I've booked a room in the Tynecastle Park hotel. Hope the bar is good and there are decent screens!👍😁 Win.........then we can relax for one day whilst the OF go to war. Rangers will be desperate to beat them and claim 2nd spot.
indianajones Posted May 4 Posted May 4 A game for Del to mastermind if there ever was one. 0-1. Braga.
JamboRouge Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Win this, followed by Rangers beating Celtic, and we are a baw's hair away from winning the title. Massive game.
tartofmidlothian Posted May 4 Author Posted May 4 Their record over the last seven matches is W1 D1 L5.
Baxfee Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Our tactics at tynie were spot on - we stood back and didn’t go to their keeper or defenders and they didn’t know what to do. Same again please
Gorgiewave Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Some of their attacking play is frightening and wouldn't be out of place at a much higher level. I trust McInnes to think of a way to defeat that.
Geoff Kilpatrick Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Let's go 2-1 again. Let's try not to concede first though, please. Braga and Kabore
dobmisterdobster Posted May 4 Posted May 4 I think this a must win. If we lose and Celtic beat Rangers, they are favourites again.
Juanjo Posted May 5 Posted May 5 A long shot, but if anyone has a spare ticket please send me a message.
hmfc1984 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Somewhat surprised we are not favourites against Motherwell. Didn't do is any harm against Rangers though!
stirlo Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I wonder if Del will go with Kabore in this game like he did at Easter Road. I know he can be unpredictable and a bit clumsy at times but he has an ability to get beyond the last defender. It's going to be another very tough game but it's imperative we take our chances when they come along like we did in the game at Tynecastle.
El Prez Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Not the time to go soiling ourselves worrying about Motherwell. The team won't. Can see us winning 0-2.
Bauld Posted May 5 Posted May 5 We could very easily lose this but if we do we are now in a position where losing it doesn't kill us. The last 3 fixtures for us and Celtic paint an interesting picture. Celtic also have to win the old firm game and they then go away to Motherwell. I still think we clinch it against Falkirk where Celtic will also drop points to Motherwell.
selkirkhmfc1874 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Difficult game for sure but can't wait for Saturday! Hopefully the club will open up the gorgie suite for fans unfortunate not to get a ticket
E3OBE Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I'd go, 4-4-2 with Milne at left midfield, leave Kingsley at left back. (if he's fit obviously). Leave Kyzi on the right with Steinwender behind him. Think this is the best set up to have threats on both sides. (Massive sorry to Spittal as I thought that was man of the match stuff against Rangers) but he's a brilliant option off the bench.
Bauld Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Big question. Will Milne and Devlin be back? Were the left out of the rangers game to guarantee availability for whats to come...

But potentially needing to beat Celtic. Incredibly we might need to by 2 goals if there was a bit of a turnaround in GD. We have various chances at a better situation. Win twice. Or pick up 4 points. Celtic fail to win either or both. The permutations are still many over 2 rounds of fixtures. 81 in fact. 🤣
hmfc_liam06 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 A draw is not a disaster here, provided Celtic lose. Hearts win / Celtic draw = can win it at Tynecastle Hearts win / Celtic lose = can win it at Tynecastle Hearts draw / Celtic lose = can win it at Tynecastle
cjay99 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 For the love of God, please don't concede first. My heart can't take much more.
daveyhmfc Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Still on the hunt for 2 tickets, unlikely it would seem at this stage.
Pasquale Posted May 5 Posted May 5 For me 3 points was a bonus yesterday, I was expecting a loss playing against their 12 men. I fully expect comfortable wins against both Motherwell and Falkirk now and the title is ours.
stirlo Posted May 5 Posted May 5 One thing about Motherwell is they tend to play like world-beaters for 30-45 mins rather than the full 90 minutes. I know it's a statement of the obvious, but the key is weathering the storm when they're on top - and making sure we take our chances when they come along. It would definitely be nice to score the first goal for a change.

keifrb Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Same team as the second half vs Rangers please. Motherwell's success this season is mainly down to their midfield, we have to match their tempo, and not get caught with 2 Vs 3 again. Their defence is bang average, so hopefully we will have enough up top to get a result. Additionally, the option on the bench we have can be match winners.
Baxfee Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Can someone tell our players that it’s not compulsory for us to concede a goal first!!!
Hømme Posted May 5 Posted May 5 3 minutes ago, Baxfee said: Can someone tell our players that it’s not compulsory for us to concede a goal first!!! I long for a day we go out and wrap a game up 2-0 within half an hour
Cade Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Every bit as important a game as the Rangers game was. Cannot afford to drop points here. Motherwell are still dangerous despite their recent dip in results.
richiehmfc Posted May 5 Posted May 5 (edited) Given Mccinnes said going 4-4-2 v motherwell for 10 minutes in the home game was his worst ever decision in management, I can't see anything other than a 3-5-2. Same team as the 2nd half unless Milne is fully fit and then you could argue he comes in. Although Kingsely was absolutely tremendous 2nd half yesterday. I can not wait for saturday, hopefully the support gets in early and cranks up the atmosphere while the team are out warming up. Edited May 5 by richiehmfc
If carlsberg did rivals... Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I don't think a draw is a bad result for us, it would give Rangers hope they're back in the race before the OF game which hopefully they win, leaving us to beat Falkirk on Wednesday to clinch the league.

Papa J Posted May 5 Posted May 5 So, 3-5-2… Schwolow Steinwender Halkett Findlay Kyzi Leonard Spittal Baningime Kingsley Shankland Braga Changes if Milne or Cammy are fit.

Ex member of the SaS Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Team and tactics employed against Sevco second half will be the way to go. Please don't start the way we did last night.
Calel Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Does anybody know of any supporters buses going to the game? I’m looking for two seats.
Bridge of Djoum Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I just don't know how this game will go. I'm gonna jump over to .incest and see what they're saying. They're generally bang on about things...
Debut 4 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 We’ve got the bit between our teeth. We countered their possession game at Tynie quite well in the first half the last time and they were fortunate not be behind after Shankland’s early chance and point blank save from Oisin’s header. They were forced into quite a few overhit balls as the half wore on. They did tweak at half time and caught us out a bit early in the second half. But once we regrouped I felt they struggled for an answer after they’d missed a couple of big chances to go 2 up. I think they are another team that once you breach their confidence and deal with what they’ve got, you can get your reward.

The players just need to come back down to earth again after yesterday. The job isn’t done. The focus will be back in the zone this week and we’ll be ready. The players and manager know better than anyone else where the heads need to be. Edited May 5 by Debut 4
AC Mallin_51 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I know it’s not exactly what we’re thinking about now but 3 points on Saturday would confirm top 2 and a champions league qualifier. Considering only 12 months ago we were scuttling about the bottom 6, actually nervous we were gonna get dragged into a playoff battle after we lost to Dundee. The turnaround at this club is sensational. 3 points and we’re probably looking at a 75-80% chance the title comes to Tynecastle. Celtic more or less in a situation where they have to beat Rangers & Motherwell. Sitting 6 points clear on Saturday night would be a sensational place to be, with our easiest game on paper coming up after
