I P Knightley Posted April 5 Posted April 5 So, you find yourself in a remote spot with a great sound system. You can crank it all the way up to 11 without fear of upsetting the neighbours. What are the top tunes you're going to play?
Dick Dastardly Posted April 5 Posted April 5 The Stone Roses first album. I play that loud wherever i listen to it.

Der Kaiser Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I play all music loud. I'm that guy you hear at the traffic lights before you see. And I sing along to.

Going in to work I'll probably just have my favourite playlist on shuffle so a lot of Indie music on that. Sometimes my funk playlist. Going home it might be my old school playlist or hip hop playlist....or a Super 80s playlist. Cooking in the kitchen I have a singalong playlist and a cheese playlist.

Tazio Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Certain bands need it. Tool benefit from extreme volume, Forty Six And 2 especially. Bug Powder Dust by Bomb The Bass always gets the up to 11 treatment as well. I’m lucky that as well as having a good set up at home I’ve access to a damn good very loud PA system in my work if I get the urge to blast something. Though it does annoy the office staff a bit.
Costanza Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I mean, hunners of songs but thinking of the bunnymen gig on Friday, this one, Will Sergeants killer riff at the start and McCulloch's heavenly vocals in the chorus, 'kin hell.

Robbo-Jambo Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Town Called Malice - The Jam 5.15 - The Who Teenage Kicks - The Undertones Live Forever - Oasis.
PortyJambo Posted April 6 Posted April 6 (edited) Pretty much any song I can sing along to at the top of my, off key, voice. 80's/90's hair rock comes to mind to me, with air guitar and drums being an optional extra... Edited April 6 by PortyJambo
Roxy Hearts Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Both ends burning - Roxy Music Broken down angel - Nazareth You shook me all night long - AC/DC
Morgan Posted April 6 Posted April 6 The Hearts song. Non-stop. For six more games. As loud as ****. And twice as ugly.
Ray Gin Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Surely any songs that you like are songs to play loudly? Who has ever thought to themselves, "This song is a cracker, let me turn the volume down so I can enjoy it more"?

I listen to a lot of 50’s and 60’s era jazz that never gives me the urge to crank the volume.

Dick Dastardly Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I like to blast this as loud as possible when I'm flying my Huey low over beaches.
Mysterion Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Given the parameters… Something with some class baseline… Something you’d not hear often… For those reasons…
