Can't see that happening but we really do need as big a gap as possible before the split. Really not much room for error. Hopefully tomorrow is an injury riddled draw!
El Prez Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Hearts of Midlothian. No more match threads for the OP. Actually, a ban is really in order. Kilmarnock 1 Hearts 3.
BigStein Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I think I’ll just bask in the glory of the league table for a week before thinking about this game
John Findlay Posted February 28 Posted February 28 An easy game on paper when you look at league positions and the points gap between us. However, it will be anything but. They should/will be scrapping for their top league survival. We have to have the we shall not be beaten attitude from the first whistle to the last.
Philfigo Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Your gonna need a bigger stadium Killie we need more tickets lol

AC Mallin_51 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 They took a hammering today so hopefully the heads are down

Seaside Dave Posted March 1 Posted March 1 They've 2 weeks to recover from the hammering, maybe they are going on a wee break to somewhere nice for a moral booster, maybe Disneyland or something. Anyways get them beat and onto next game. 8pm kick off hearts away in full voice few tins few pies. Just win the game and enjoy a singsong into the night. Will be another chance to extend over one side of Glasgow before they play. The other one are on 3pm

Exactly this, I always think it’s a harder game against a team fighting for survival than a mid table team that are comfortable that they are safe. Saying that I would take another hard fought 0-1 , even though my heart might not.
mrcrisps Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Good luck Derek picking the starting XI with Beni fit and McEntee also back. Nice problem to have.
Masonic Posted March 1 Author Posted March 1 mods edit the title added an s by mistake when typing with my greasy fingers
tian447 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) Have a solid weeks rest doing **** all but light training, recovery, and most importantly socialising. Get that team spirit right up. The players should be allowed a night of having a couple of beers and the club putting on a dinner for them. Worry about the game after next week. We're about to have the hardest run in terms of pressure that Hearts might have ever had. The players deserve a bit of a reward for what they've achieved this season so far. Edited March 1 by tian447

AC Mallin_51 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Unsure how true it is but read they have a grand total of 0 points v top 6 opponents at home this season
Pasquale Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Assuming Beni, McEntee and Devlin are fit for this game who returns and who drops out?

Neither will get thrown back in,did Del not say week after for Devlin anyway. We don't make changes just for the sake of it.
indianajones Posted March 1 Posted March 1 If Devlin and McEntee are back then that's a serious boost. Neil McCann sounded like a man on the edge yesterday. I think he realises his team are a bit basket case. They've also lost their best striker.
Tynecastle Valhalla Posted March 1 Posted March 1 We need to start the game well on the front foot. You saw what they did to Celtic in that first half. id play wingers - Chesn and Kyzi and get the Ball out wide asap. Id drop Braga into the hole where Spittal has been playing as he is better and does more defensive work. Mags and Leonard in the middle. Could be a chance to see more of Matos.

They got points off of us, Hibs, and Motherwell away but nothing at home. This is a bit of a confusing chart but the home team is on the right and away teams across the top. So follow Killie's line across the middle. Home wins in blue, away wins in red. The only team Killie have beat at home is St. Mirren, twice, plus a draw each with Livi and the two Dundee teams. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025–26_Scottish_Premiership

jimbojambo Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Watched the highlights of Falkirk v Kilmarnock and they're really poor in the air at the back. We need quality crosses from Kyzi and Harry and we have players that can finish. They will fight on a plastic pitch so we'll need to be up for it and hopefully Benni will play and show the calmness that will be required.

gregzy2k7 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Another 0-1 win would be fantastic 👌 Would be tempted to stick with the same team tbh. Those players who played on Saturday know what it takes to win and having the likes of Chesnokov, Kerjota, Mato, McEntee, Beni & Devlin (potentially) gives us plenty of options off the bench. We are almost back to being full strength 💪 can't wait until motherwell where we hopefully have everyone fit and available for the run in.

Skacelsid Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Their Falkirk result is irrelevant this will be difficult, it suits us to have a physical scrap in midfield but that doesn't suit their carpet so much IMO as slick passing and good movement. Get the ball to the front guys. Our form has been a bit in and out lately but Saturday was much better, just give 100 % and play well, that should do.

jock _turd Posted March 2 Posted March 2 We should be going there and giving them a doing! We have been outstanding this season but for whatever reason we have stumbled against two shite teams.
TexasAndy Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Like every other Jambo I am over thinking everything just now. Lay wide awake at about 3am thinking that by the time we kick off at Killie, Celtic could be 2 points behind if they win their next two games. It just shows the pressure is on to keep going. Of course a Dons win or draw and a draw in Celtic v Well would make things look much better. See, over thinking. Its a wonderful but scary time. I trust the team to do the bizz at Rugby Park.
