We are good at winning games by good old fashioned graft, running power and physical presence, trying to win favour with the lunatics that want every flair player, will lose us the thing. Industrial until we are at the next step is working just fine. There’s not an earthly chance McInnes played 2 winger and 2 strikers to try and win favour with anyone. Nor is there a chance he ever will.
TheBigO Posted February 11 Posted February 11 The main thing with Rangers is getting in their face - you can't just let them have the ball. Hurry them, harass them, make it a fight and we can do them. Not sure what that means in terms of team. I was tempted to say 4231 with Ageu behind Braga. And maybe still think that, but Kabore is actually excellent on the press..... so is Mags. I think its a 4231 game. I would keep Beni and Leonard at the base but would also understand either dropping out for Oisin if he plays Altena or Stein RB! Schwolow XXXX Halks Findlay Milne Beni? Leonard? XXXX XXXX XXXX Braga Or Braga drops one back and Kabore up top. I think McEntee is 100% starting, so needs to fit somewhere!!! I hope Alex can hit him with some kickouts in this game!!! Kyzi, wouldn't surprise me if he went for pure pace down the left. But he won't start Mato AND Chesny. So if its Mato on the left it won't be Ches on the right! I'd personally be starting McCart over Findlay too but not the game to change it I don't think. So basically who the eff knows. I think we have 5 definite starters, 6 if you include McEntee.
Pasquale Posted February 11 Posted February 11 (edited) I'd like to see Magnusson starting for Beni. We need more height and physicality in the team. Edited February 11 by Pasquale
Jambochi Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I'd personally like to see this, based on last night's performances: Schwolow Altena Kent Halkett Milne Magnusson Leonard Kyziridis Chesnokov Braga Mato
The Treasurer Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Don Robertson ref Clancy on VAR Robertson definitely has a chip on his shoulder when it comes to Hearts
Maroon Sailor Posted February 11 Posted February 11 2 minutes ago, The Treasurer said: Don Robertson ref Clancy on VAR Robertson definitely has a chip on his shoulder when it comes to Hearts We've still got a chance with him, unlike Beaton and absolutely no chance with Dickinson if he was the ref at Castle Grayskull on Sunday.
Diehardjambo1 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Would like to see Schwolow altena Kent. Findlay. Milne Beni mcentee Mags. Kizzy Ageu Braga
rmreido Posted February 11 Posted February 11 We weren't great last night, but we got the job done, all about the 3 points. Absolutely massive game on Sunday, play like yesterday and we'll struggle to get anything from the game, hoping there is much improvement in our attacking play to give ourselves a chance of the win, we're all craving. I fancy Motherwell to get something off them tonight, to pile the pressure on. I'm confident we can do the business Sunday 1-2 Braga McEntee

Kabore doesn’t hold the ball up enough or find the right passes, we need to try and start out attacks from the midfield and not miss them out with long balls with the hope it sticks up front.

Shankland31 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Schwolow McEntee Halkett Findlay Milne Altena Magnusson Ageu Leonard Braga Kyziridis
Diadora Van Basten Posted February 11 Posted February 11 13 minutes ago, Shankland31 said: No McEntee😑 I chose Magnusson instead as he covers more ground but both have been effective against the old firm this season.
Shankland31 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Last night may have been the time to unleash Chesnokov but I feel Sunday is definitely time to unleash Ageu.
Watt-Zeefuik Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I wasn't going to do a formation but everyone putting Ageu in at the 10 or doing a 4-2-3-1, neither of which I think are going to happen, is getting to me. I think it'll be one of these three. (FWIW I personally would be tempted to drop Kyzi but I don't think McInnes will.) Schwolow Steinwender Halkett Findlay Milne Magnussen Baningime Ageu Braga Kabore Kyziridis Schwolow McEntee Halkett Findlay Milne Chesnokov Baningime Magnussen Kyziridis Braga Kabore Schwolow Steinwender Halkett Findlay Altena Magnussen Baningime Ageu Milne Braga Kabore Leonard could swap in any of those midfield places but I thought he really looked off of it last night.
Dick Dastardly Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I think it will be Schwolow Steinwender Halkett Findlay Milne Chesney Beni Leonard Kizi Braga Kabore I'd like to see Schwolow Altena Halks Findlay Milne McEntee Beni Magnusson Kizi Braga Chesney
BigStein Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I trust any lineup to get us over the line but this is my preference: ______________Schwolow __Altena__Halkett__Findlay__Milne _________McEntee__Baningime Chesnokov__Magnusson__Kyziridis ________________Braga

ramrod Posted February 11 Posted February 11 We have probably been out of form since the Sellik game tbh. Utd game kinda skewed by the fact they were down to 9 men. Hopefully last night can kick start a run and get many of the players out of form back on track, especially our forwards. If we can avoid defeat we are well set for the 6 games before the spilt.
XB52 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 1 hour ago, Shankland31 said: Schwolow McEntee Halkett Findlay Milne Altena Magnusson Ageu Leonard Braga Kyziridis That for me, but can easily swap Beni for Leonard
1971fozzy Posted February 11 Posted February 11 There will be a hell of a lot of running involved. I’d see Mags in and keep Ageu / Mato as subs to come on. Kizi starts for me, he has plenty legs in him and tracks back well. we will get chances and space just as they will. 1-1 or 2-2 for me
amadjambo Posted February 11 Posted February 11 1 hour ago, ELITHEDUG said: That’s possibly the team I would pick for Sunday. Possibly Altena at RM, as there’s no chance of him being picked at RB.

Duos123 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I want 3 in the middle for this one so that means dropping one of the attackers

Absolutely. Kabore doesn't do enough for me, comes across very clumsy, balls just seems to bounce off him every time, ball control is woeful 9/10 Saying that, he was good against Dundee Utd
Scott980612 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Pressure on Rangers , there fans will be demanding a win even more so now. Keep it tight or score first , they’ll get nervous. Roll on Sunday 🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻
Malinga the Swinga Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I saw nothing tonight from the Sevco players to concern Hearts on Sunday. I am concerned about the referee and officials though.
Dsjambo Posted February 11 Posted February 11 All the big men will be in on Sunday, Rangers are like land of the giants so the manager will match them up I think. We better be ready to play from the start as they will be chasing everything so no pissing about at the back please.
BigStein Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Whatever aura rangers had just isn’t there anymore. If they keep playing like they did tonight then they won’t be near the league title. They gave the ball away a lot in that first half when pressed and their attacking output was mainly aimless punts. Energy will be the name of the game and we have a lot more than they do
GeordieJambo84 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Get to the split 6 points clear and we'll win it.
Scott Leitch Posted February 11 Posted February 11 All the pressure on Rangers come Sunday. We win that's them out of it.
lisburnjambo Posted February 11 Posted February 11 If you watched tonight , sevco were on to every loose ball at the back when they could any pass backs to keeper were pounced on (albeit not very well lol) At Ibrox it will be difficult but the chance to go 8 clear is there for us

neilnunb Posted February 11 Posted February 11 ***** Rohl is a bumbling fool. He'll crack under pressure.
mr fox Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I will be very surprised if he doesn’t play Kabore up top He played 433 last time I think so it may be the same again. My head is burst trying to think what’s best - let’s leave it to Del. I would like to see Altena and Mcantee down RHS but he has plenty options to go with. No fear bring it on
feej Posted February 11 Posted February 11 10 minutes ago, Diehardjambo1 said: Strangely enough It had crossed my mind too. 😂 Will be interesting to see if he's straight back in.
davie1980 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I think he starts with the same line up I think the only guy he will really really want to start is Magnusson. But he won't change one of the two sitters in midfield, with that set up. So i suspect it's the same set up again and Magnusson likely to be first guy off the bench
Ked Posted February 11 Posted February 11 5 hours ago, Shankland31 said: Schwolow McEntee Halkett Findlay Milne Altena Magnusson Ageu Leonard Braga Kyziridis Would swap Beni with Magnusson Kyzi with Mato. Only because Kyzi seems a bit stuck ATM. Braga to nip Soutars nut all game.

Agree with everything mate other than Beni and Leonard. Mostly Beni. Think he has been poor of late and hasn't done much to merit a spot in the first XI, him and Leonard are too similar for me, as well. Would have Leonard in the middle with McEntee, Kabore up top then a 3 behind them of Chesny, Braga and Kyzi. Motherwell pressed rangers really well with a 4231 tonight, had them penned in the whole first half, so I think it's the way to go for this one. Requires bravery though, and the 2 sitting midfielders can't just sit in front of the defence or it becomes far too disjointed.
cjay99 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 McInnes doesn't change things up that drastically and will probably favour the big boys for the Rangers so don't see the likes of Chesny and Altena starting. Think Halkett for Kent will be the only change in the backline and think he'll stick with Beni and Leonard. Not sure who comes in at RW though. Unless he shifts Milne there again and McCart comes in at LB - which I could defo see happening.
