As ever, the people with the most points are the people that go to the most games.

I suppose that’s the issue. Because you don’t have enough points you can’t get to away games to accrue points. 🤪

PS I am in Ibrox hospitality next week so no points for me.

Points get culled though, so they need to keep going to keep the points up.

Its not Like it keeps adding to an insurmountable amount. If you go to all the games you can you catch up, might take a few seasons.

Some of us don't have a few seasons. 😁. And of course everybody's get culled so the gap remains.

I’ve also only missed a handful of away games, I have shares, season ticket and went to Copenhagen. I only have 106.

I'm in the same boat. Also travelled to Bruges and went to the vast majority of away games last year. The tipping point for me seems to have been being unable to get to Parkhead this season. Wouldn't even have occurred to me to farm loyalty points to screw over other regular attendees. Means I just missed out on the threshold for Falkirk tickets and now am just shy of the Ibrox LP threshold too. Meanwhile those gaming the system are actually getting to not attend games and then picking and choosing which ones they can go to.  Not sure what the answer is though....

Yep, fair point…and I’ve no issue with the most dedicated getting tickets 👍

And therein lies the problem. People farming points without attending.

I've seen a lot of clubs down south attempting to deal with this by selecting say 100 or so tickets for every away match to be collected from the away ground before the game with photo ID required

The club has access too all users' points and decide ticket thresholds based on that, you'd be daft to think otherwise. I made all European away games, missed a few away games last season and have just made the threshold for Falkirk, Celtic and Rangers - had I missed I wouldn't have complained as there are simply other fans who went to more matches than me over the two year window.

It is similar to the stock market, at the top everyone wishes they got in at the bear market lows, but when the lows return they do not buy... If you are a loyal fan throughout the course of a season, you will be rewarded.

100% the people who have enough points were us dafties that went to most away games last season. I think I deserve 100 points for Fleetwood alone 😁 we watched some amount of rubbish

Went to every game home and away last year pretty much and my god it was a turgid watch at times, I’m reminded of the trip to Dingwall late December in particular as a pretty bad low last season. However this season I now sit with 151 points so have plenty of points to make all the high demand games which is exactly the reason we have loyalty points.

Clearly its an issue with folk not attending but keeping points topped up by passing on tickets bought. Does sound like an idea to ensure no foul play.

My 16 yo has over 160 points

My eldest son not far behind

If they can get to that amount why can’t others not do so?

They go to every game so it’s only correct they have the opportunity to get a ticket for the premium matches

It is the issue, but the long-term attendees deserve a ticket than those who are perhaps jumping more on the away day bandwagon of going more regularly because of our recent form and the fact we're in a title race (people might not like reading that). Those with enough points for Ibrox were likely attending away games for the last two years when our form has been erratic at best. They're likely the folk that travelled across Europe last year, that sat watching us concede two late goals in County around Christmas last year, etc etc.

LPs remain by far the fairest way to give out away tickets. Those without enough need to ensure they go to more games when they can and eventually, if they do so through thick and thin, they'll build up enough for the big matches.

It is generally that simple. If you can't go every week, I've no issues with that, but don't immediately expect a ticket on the occasions you can go.

Thread has taken a bit of a strange turn. Nobody is suggesting folk who have points and go to games shouldn't continue to do so.

The SFA used to do that with travelling tartan army fans. You had to pick up tickets in the host city and your id had to match the name on the ticket
