Aha, hence the ruckus. I did wonder, as Bokila's reaction seemed excessive for a physical tussle. Hopefully it wasn't a racist remark, and it's a misunderstanding.

But if he did make a racist remark, I hope the book is thrown at him, and his next shite is a hedgehog

Really hope it’s just an awful misunderstanding, although sadly with the state of the world, our social media and politics it would not sadly not be surprising in this day and age

Shinnie's reaction after the red cards is up there with one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen watching football. Taking his armband off and ripping in his mouth like a petulant toddler. What a tool of a man.

Bokila was in tears in the dressing room, according to Martindale.

He’s unbelievable.
how he gets away with it !!!

as a referee you should go in to the changing room before the game and say hey dick heed if you come within 4 feet of me with your greeting face at any point in the game I’m booking you.Do it again and your off.
some of these refs need to take a stance.

one thing getting decisions wrong. But constantly putting up with that could be dealt with fairly easily if they had the balls  !!!!

Suspect this looks like a he said/he said kind of situation.

Don’t really know what to think (and it doesn’t effect us thank ****), racism allegations have huge ramifications, but if Martindale isn’t exaggerating and he genuinely was crying after the game, it’s difficult to dismiss that either.

If he’s said something racist then the book should be chucked at him.

Feel for the Livi guy, being sent off as well is ridiculous, and from Martindales interview the ref made a rip roaring ***** out of every facet of the game.

There will be all kinds of verbals between players in every game, at what point is it deemed unacceptable. Was bokila in tears for being sent off, or for the remark. If its for the remark, what was said is unimagineable

I was actually at this game.

livi were really poor, was hoping McGowan and tait would do a job on Aberdeen.

Something definitely happened between the players as the Livi lad reacted to something out of the blue and he wasnt happy at all.

shinnie is a pleb, got booked in the aftermath and kept going on after that. I would have sent him off.

Martindale was right about the ref, lost the game from very early on and made a total arse of it.

There were enough players around but was the linesman and/or the 4th official when Milne allegedly said a racist remark ?  The players can say one thing, and try to cover it up but if either of the officials heard a racist remark then Milne is done.

There’s a difference between a bit of verbals & racist comments. Racism is absolutely miles over the line of what’s acceptable, it’s just vile.

For those of us old enough to remember Willie Miller as a player, there's no surprise in this kind of behaviour from an Aberdeen captain.

It seemed from what I saw to just kick off for no reason. Saw social media posts by sheep fans saying the Livi player was involved in a similar incident a few years ago where he accused someone of making a racist comment but wouldnt name the player.

He may have had his own reasons for not naming him. I think unless someone has heard it and is willing to back either player up, it will be hard to prove one way or the other.

If there is evidence one way or the other - the player should be banned for at least a few games.

I remember Larry Kingston falsely accused a ref (v Aberdeen?) of being racists and it was proved to be a false claim.

Don't really want to come on here and defend an Aberdeen player but come on - to break down in tears because of name calling. My advice to the Livi boy is to man up and start preparing for next week. Does anyone remember the saying 'Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me'

Yep, and it turned out that the ref was married to a girl from Zimbabwe

There was also that time Stephen Robinson reported that people in Section N were singing "We hate the blacks" during the warm up, when what they were actually singing was "We hate Kickback"

I'd forgotten about that.  Thankfully the law was changed to make anti-kickback chats illegal at matches soon after. 🥸

That was definitely a well worn saying and I grew up in 70s when pretty much any name calling was acceptable, I got called names that were bad and I called people names that I'm embarrassed about now and I'm glad we've moved on from that and folk get called out if they cross the line (that probably didn't exist in the 70s). But who decides where that line is?

It was back in the days of flag debates and people getting banned for having more 'extreme' views.  It was seen as being too right-on for some.

It used to get sung quite a lot, mainly at away games right enough, back in the day.

It doesn’t matter how much progress we make as a species it can only take one stupid incident to make me feel sadly ashamed, be it a true claim or a false one it still highlights the effects of racism on society.

I'd imagine any tears are probably a mix of what was said and the fact he got sent off for it. If something did happen then guy will probably be feeling a huge injustice.

Apart from that, your post is shite.
