Falkirk away on a Boxing Day under Csaba - won 1-0 with a Stewart penalty.

A day when you question your life choices.

St Mirren at home.

felt like the fifth time we’d played them that season.

The cold was literally flowing out the core of the earth straight through my kicks and collecting around my knees. The air was sucking the breath out my lungs.

If it wasn’t for the bigger fan on one side lending me a bit of heated meat blanket, I think that game would have been my last.

My worst time was at Tynecastle verses St Midden sure we lost 0-3 with Callum Elliot sent off quite early 🫣there was frozen wind + sleet and Hearts were dire that day absolutely horrible experience so wondering if it was the same game CM 🤔

Has to be either the Alloa game or Dunfermline 0-0 away

Early 80’s up at Pittodrie. It was the old beach end when it was just filled with white wooden benches. It was absolutely freezing, I don’t think I’ve ever been as cold anywhere, never mind at the football.

Executive decision within the Hearts support made whilst the flakes were floating down in abundance.

Into The Derry the Hearts fans went.

I was a student at Dundee Uni back then and your student ID got you free entry but only into the Provost Road end, ie covered seated area behind the goal. I went with a mate who was an English-hating, SNP supporting Rangers fan (they do exist apparently lol). When the Hearts fans invaded the Derry we ran over the pitch and went in with the Hearts fans. Proved a good decision until half-time when as the report states, we all got herded into the uncovered TCK end. Got beat 4-1 that day. My mate and I were both in The Clep sinking a pint when the Hearts goal went in.

Inverness mid season was always chilly. Remember one occasion getting dropped off by the club organised bus right outside the stadium with not enough time to get to town and back. Weren’t even allowed to sit on the bus until nearer kickoff. Just had to stand in the sleet with feet soaked in slush with the wind coming in off the North Sea.

I've not gone through every post so apologise if this has already been posted by someone else but the coldest I can ever remember being at a game was back in 1988, our European tie versus Austria Wien in Vienna. I'd actually got a bit confused when I got into the ground as I'd seen hundreds of Hearts fans outside heading into the away end. But when I got inside the ground there was only a small handful of fans on the terracing. I then went for a pee and discovered there were loads of Hearts fans in the rather large toilet as it had all its heating on and was keeping them warm.

Spartans Vs Alloa (or similar) at City Road, Scottish cup 1990ish. Standing on snow, no goals, deliberately got number 1 or 6 bus home to take the long route so I could sit on the back seat over the engine to warm up

I meant City Park not City Road and I bet I meant the same game as this!

The coldest I've experienced was Perth, a long while back, Heats v St Johnstone. Brutal. Felt like -8 in the stands.

What's yours.

Behind the goals at Fir Park at a Wednesday night match 39 years ago - terracing at both ends 100% white with frost - lucky if there were over 4-5 folk at that end ......had been going out with my then girlfriend (now Mrs) for a wee while and she asked to come along to see why I was so obsessed at the time. She wore a light bomber jacket...white 3/4 length trousers and moccassins with of course no socks (yep - posseur) I was well wrapped up and still bloody frozen - she couldnt stop badly shaking the whole match - Strangely she's never liked football that much since

I like Ainslie Park, because it is the only senior ground I have played on (very tenuously - I played in an away match against Ainslie Park High School staff way back in the day when there was still an Ainslie Park HS)

Every winter visit to Pittodrie...utterly baltic stadium for away fans with wind battering you from north sea.  Worst one I think was around 2003 or so and I think big moose scored a winner in a 3-2 ding dong win

I went to Broughton (before the 'merger' with Ainslie) but I was playing for Craigroyston staff in that game

Think it was Falkirk away at Clyde at Broadwood stadium years ago with those two stands like a wind tunnel

I don't even think it was in the proper winter months. It was cool outside but went in the stand and it was like stepping into a ****ing freezer.

I was going to quote that game as well - I was at it - my memory was that they announced over the tannoy that we could come across but I had probably had my usual pre match pints so your memory is likely better. I do remember we were getting absolutely trounced - 3-0 early on - and that it was bloody freezing and a blizzard

Was that the Boxing Day game mid to late 80s where a section of our support decided to go in fancy dress? Iirc Bermuda shorts and shirts and having a party Beach Boys style on the benches behind the goal. Mental 😂

Dundee away January 1984

Blizzards and fffffreeezing cauld.

Hammered 4-1.

This, without a shadow of a doubt. Blizzards and biting wind blowing into the away end. By a certain stage in the second half, most of us decided to turn our backs on the pitch because it was so unbearable.

Not that we missed much.

That was the Texaco Cup. We won 5-0 but they won the windae smashing. Our bus had the windscreen and back window left. All others were done in.

They must have had form for that, because in the late 70's possibly early 80's they smashed our drivers window in and another 1 or 2  To the credit of the lads on the Bus they came right out to fight the clowns and they bolted quick style

Dunfermline Athletic 0 Hearts 0

Dating my wife to be - took her up from London to experience Scottish New year including the Hogmanay in Princes street (before ticketing, mental crowds, her kissing policemen  at the bells while we sang 'Shang a lang' or words close to that to the Bay city rollers).

Everything was going fine until we travelled to East End Park. Absolutely shite 0-0 game with zero shots off target or on. Right at the top off the exposed away stand with a sleety wind sweeping in off the graveyard nearby. She wrapped herself in the London Hearts flag but even that didn't help. By the end she was bone cold and bored stiff and that was the end of her thinking it was a good idea to accompany me to games

𝐓𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘 Dunfermline Athletic FC It is Christmas Eve and that is why our drone picture of the day comes from a East End Park after one of our previous flights had

I remember being absolutely frozen at

this game although I thought it was Boxing Day. I remember physically chittering away during the game. Gets my vote

Nov 1996. Motherwell away. Fir Park was freezing that night and they ran out of hot drinks and food.

Hearts won 2-0 - Robbo and stephan Paille scored. Never been as cold - ever!
