Dunks Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Could've cleaned the wall first. Although the scaffs representing Hibs fitted right in.
Wee Mikey Posted January 9 Posted January 9 It looks like it's been installed on top of grafitti. Surely the clubs could've stumped up for a wee bit of stone cleaning?
highlandjambo3 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I see the hibs officials got dressed up for the occasion 😂
hughesie27 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 It really is appreciated weird choice to not mention the score. Obviously forced by Hibs given its a joint venture. Even restricted mentioning it in the article.

HMFC01 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I think it's good. Let's people know. Gives a sense of inspiration maybe. For people playing football for fun or training. If they want to research it further, they find out scorelines and team lineups. If they want.
Mikey1874 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 The beginning of a historic, epic, world record breaking history.

escobri Posted January 9 Posted January 9 They should put up a plaque where Tom Purdie was chased by Hibs supporters after defeating Hibs.
JJ93 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Do Hibs fans ever dress well? For anything other than maybe a court appearance?

Was that the incident when Purdie “horse-whipped” his pursuers? Whip-hand indeed. A phrase that perfectly sums up our utter dominance over H1b5.
Debut 4 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 And after that the Hibs manager said the pressure is all on Hearts now for future derbies.

Threedoorsdown Posted January 9 Posted January 9 We played a goalkeeper with only three fingers on one of his hands and still kept a clean sheet. It’s kinda continued in that vein for 150 years.
Jacques de Gauthier Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Newell can’t even look at the camera. Was there someone with a tray of drinks and a set of car keys nearby or something?
Rudy T Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Give it a week and the Block 7 *****’s will have it vandalised because it’s says Heart of Midlothian FC

Hearts Heritage Posted January 9 Posted January 9 The council will be sending a team round to clean the graffiti.
Daveandal Posted January 9 Posted January 9 You know you've sunk low when Malky McKay is the only person on your side taking it seriously 😋. It is however a nice thing and genuinely surprised nothing like this existed before.

dannymack Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hibs chose to completely ignore the presence of Edinburghs quintessential establishment club. They had the audacity to edit out the Heart of Midlothian representation at the unveiling in the images too. Scumbag institution.
JTJ Posted January 9 Posted January 9 6 hours ago, Spot the dog said: Shouldn't the plague say Hibernians (1875-1881)? It was Hibernians [1875 - 1892] AKA " The Irishmen" we played as Hibernian [1891 - to date] were not in existence then. The "Irishmen" were rowdy navvies over to build the railways and started the team. No one would play them until we agreed to play the game highlighted. Their team did go on to win the 1887 Scottish Cup and World Championship of 1888 BUT after playing a charity game in Glasgow, a new team in Glasgow ("Celtic") was started and promptly stole all their players . Hibernians struggled after that - their last Scottish Cup game was an 8-1 loss at Hibernians Park to Dumbarton. The club faded away with multiple debts the sale of their ground for housing couldn't cover. When League football started in 1890 - 91 Hearts were the only team from the East to enter. Success for the League prompted the setting up of the "new" Hibs who refused to pay off the other clubs debts as they had no connection. They claim the Hibernians FC trophies but with less of a claim than "The Rangers". NB All of the above is from a book I read (about the "Birth of Hibs") which was written in the 1920s or 30s when there were people alive who remembered it all. The book belonged to a Hibs fan at work who's dead now and I've forgotten the title/author, sadly.
luckyBatistuta Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Couldn’t have been too difficult to put up the score, goal scorer and team sheets surely🤔
