Looks like a back 3……noooooooo

Na, don't think so. More of a lopsided 4-3-3 with McCart lb. Will allow Altena to roam forward on the right and the remaining three can shuffle across when we're in possession, reverting to a 4 when out of possession.

Imo.

3 right wingers on the bench

Chesnekov, Kerjota, Kabore, Kabangu all potential game changers. Doesn't feel like a particularly defensive line up in spite of the 3 CBs.

Plenty height in McCart, Halkett, Findlay and Magnusson - need to be mindful of Dundee's set pieces - seems to be their big danger atm.

Congreve (right winger) is probably their most dangerous player as well

Ffs we have finally sorted out our right hand side only to be kicked in the balls on the left hand side 😂👎

cmon hearts let’s do this hhgh

One of the reasons I get hacked off with all the Champ Managers on here churning out their starting elevens clogging up threads, ie injuries, illness, loss of form, oppo, personal issues etc, very seldom does every card fall your way, and the whole point is to have a diverse squad that can put up with all of the above. Hate when excuses are found before a ball is kicked 🙄

I don't think we need three players for each position in the team. Its not ideal that our 2 LB's are injured but we cant just keep signing players and Milne or Kingsley could be in days or a couple of weeks. I think McCart is fine for 3rd choice.

I agree normally, but when you play both of them often (Milne at RW) then you probably need 3...or at the very least you need the back up to be someone who's rarely out injured.

Would have Wilson instead tbf

Would be awesome if Chesnokov scored off the bench today.  Takes the spooks off the fixture and stamps authority on his signing and any future signings.   Plus help us get 3 points 😀

Even worse that he'll definitely come on as a sub at some point.

I'm not a fan but he'll be there as emergency wing back cover of we have to change shape.

Tbf we've got mccart who can cover (hopefully) and milne less likely yo play on right now we've got chesnokov.

Kingsley is injured quite regularly so unfortunately no great surprise. Hope we sign another lb this month.

Its got, Kent Forrest and Spittal , third of that bench is poor .

It's far from ideal not having a natural left back, but with Altena on the right It's not miles different from Steinwender or McEntee at RB with a more naturally attacking LB. It just curbs the attacking a bit.

Think it might be Findlay LB and McCart CH. Findlay is quicker so will be more handy against Congreve.

Pitch looks fine from drone camera.  If it was a drone.

Bring it on :robbo:

What's the rumours? I saw one about SK having a broken toe. What's wrong with Milne?

Kingsley hurt his groin practicing free kicks during the week according to Hearts Standard, Milne seemingly turned his ankle and has had a scan but out for an unconfirmed amount of time

Course it is. Think it might be Findlay at LB rather than McCart but it’s definitely a 4

We thinking McCart or Findlay at LB then?

And is it a midfield 3 with Magnusson or are Dundee incredibly tall too so Magnusson is being played out of position again?

At least the window is open for us to do that if needed.

Forrest played LWB in the bounce game on Tuesday. He may be called upon.

Just think Findlay is so poor on the ball that it would hinder us getting the ball up the park much more than having McCart there would

I think it’s McCart slotting in at left back. I think that’s fine. He’s not going to bomb forward, but he’s a decent footballer and should be solid enough. Midfield and forwards need to be ruthless today.

Because DMcI knows more than your average kickbacker about how to manage a football team?

If we take control from the start and force them onto the defensive then left back won't be an issue.

We just need to be on the front foot and control the game.

Forrest is not our best player. He might be our worst on that team and subs sheet.

It says so much that's abouts good our current squad that he might be considered our poorest option today.

See how it goes today I guess. I still think 2 is light when the cover isn't available a lot of the time.

Last time I seen him playing, he was hooked for being shite.

It wasn't against us - even though he also got hooked then for being shite.

I’ll be watching on Sky sports.  The coverage will begin with hearts but inevitably it will very quickly spin over to the two cheeks and which one will finish top……….0-3 at half time would be orgasmic too see their greeting faces….please make it happen, please 🙏🙏

Correct with the first bit...

Exactly, we must have the biggest squad in the league bar none so we can’t just keep signing players until some are moved on. Easier said than done though, only loans so far, so Hearts will still be paying some of the wages.

Totally agree, he has gone to wandering all over the pitch if things are not going well.

With all these great chances we are creating it needs to be him on the end of them.

I wouldn't say wondering all over the place but he is coming deeper because our midfielders especially cammie and beni lack that forward thrust..I'm hopeful magnusson can offer more and certainly he's missed enough great chances to back up that hope.
