Will allow Altena to roam forward on the right and the remaining three can shuffle across when we're in possession, reverting to a 4 when out of possession. Imo.
Captain Sausage Posted January 11 Posted January 11 3 minutes ago, Hømme said: That bench is phenomenal 3 right wingers on the bench  Chesnekov, Kerjota, Kabore, Kabangu all potential game changers. Doesn't feel like a particularly defensive line up in spite of the 3 CBs. Plenty height in McCart, Halkett, Findlay and Magnusson - need to be mindful of Dundee's set pieces - seems to be their big danger atm.
villagejambo Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Congreve (right winger) is probably their most dangerous player as well

Hate when excuses are found before a ball is kicked 🙄

Deviskan Posted January 11 Posted January 11 How in the name of Christ is Forrest STILL getting on the bench ffs?!?
Taffin Posted January 11 Posted January 11 2 minutes ago, OmiyaHearts said: I don't think we need three players for each position in the team. Its not ideal that our 2 LB's are injured but we cant just keep signing players and Milne or Kingsley could be in days or a couple of weeks. I think McCart is fine for 3rd choice. I agree normally, but when you play both of them often (Milne at RW) then you probably need 3...or at the very least you need the back up to be someone who's rarely out injured.

HMFC01 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Would be awesome if Chesnokov scored off the bench today. Takes the spooks off the fixture and stamps authority on his signing and any future signings. Plus help us get 3 points 😀

Duos123 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 So as soon as we fix the right side we get both lbs our injured ffs

Bob Loblaw Posted January 11 Posted January 11 It's far from ideal not having a natural left back, but with Altena on the right It's not miles different from Steinwender or McEntee at RB with a more naturally attacking LB. It just curbs the attacking a bit. Think it might be Findlay LB and McCart CH. Findlay is quicker so will be more handy against Congreve.

CM Funk Posted January 11 Posted January 11 (edited) We thinking McCart or Findlay at LB then? And is it a midfield 3 with Magnusson or are Dundee incredibly tall too so Magnusson is being played out of position again? Edited January 11 by CM Funk

I think that’s fine. He’s not going to bomb forward, but he’s a decent footballer and should be solid enough. Midfield and forwards need to be ruthless today.

Cruyff Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Schwolow Halkett McCart Findlay Altena Devlin Beni Magnússon Kyrizidis Braga Shanks
Bauld Posted January 11 Posted January 11 If we take control from the start and force them onto the defensive then left back won't be an issue. We just need to be on the front foot and control the game.

Exactly, we must have the biggest squad in the league bar none so we can’t just keep signing players until some are moved on. Easier said than done though, only loans so far, so Hearts will still be paying some of the wages.

Jambof3tornado Posted January 11 Posted January 11 1 hour ago, Robbo-Jambo said: Totally agree, he has gone to wandering all over the pitch if things are not going well. With all these great chances we are creating it needs to be him on the end of them. I wouldn't say wondering all over the place but he is coming deeper because our midfielders especially cammie and beni lack that forward thrust..I'm hopeful magnusson can offer more and certainly he's missed enough great chances to back up that hope.
