That was a decent away point today given how good Motherwell look right now, but we have to take three home points against Killie with the form they're in.

I'd bring in Borchgrevink at RB and put McEntee in midfield, but then we all said that last week.

I've been saying it for weeks if not months. The classic must win on Wednesday.

Huge game, get kerjota back in on the right and go into the game with an attacking mind and win the game. Must win.

Draw with Killie scoring 1st.

I’d be keeping the front two just for continuity. There would be 3 coming in already and I think McInnes said that’s the max he’s comfortable with earlier in the season.

Ideally I want to see our two most natural strikers Shanks and Kabore together and Braga's energy making an impact off the bench for a change, but your point's sound.

I do think with the team struggling to create, Kabore should start as he brings more trouble.

I think DM will be having a long hard think about dropping some that he has stood by.   The issue is now trusting players whose match sharpness won’t be tip top.

He can’t rip it all up though.   He has to be meticulous and fill positions among the ones he trusts who are still showing the fight to get back to form.

Spittal? Not for me.  Not seeing it with Magnusson either. I am not sure what role he’s supposed to be playing.

A 2-0 win will calm things down a bit.  😍

Derek really needs to address the problem he is causing on our right-hand side, though.

Spittal is debatable but I'm not sure there is an alternative unless you want to play Forrest?  Magnusson I'd play every day of the week over McEntee and again what is the option. We need to play a basic formation with players in their natural positions.

Hope Hibs can pull off a win or draw tomorrow, because if Celtic win then they're on a hell of a hot streak. Bringing in O'Neil was a good move, he's a wily old fox and has steadied the ship there. No matter, we can only rely on ourselves and Wednesday is a must win to restore positive thinking in the players and with the fans. Pretty sure that MacInnes and the players know that themselves.

This would be my starting team, perhaps the only deviation id consider would be Kabore for Braga.

We need a wee freshen up so I agree your team makes sense. Maybe indeed start Kabore over Braga. I think returning to Tynie will be important.

Milne at LB Borch at RB and 2 proper wingers. If Mcentee plays its in central midfield only. Mccart for findlay.

Massive game, really need to pick up full points in our home games given how tough many away fixtures are!

Braga to start but if he’s showing as little as he has done recently, then get Kabore on for him at around 60 minutes, not 85 minutes.

Wee note for Deek !

Borch is a right back (play him at right back)

Kerjota is a right winger ( play him on the right wing)

No thanks required 👍

This in spades ^

Also McEntee is not a RB or RWB so please stop that stupid experiment.

I would make a few changes, I would like to see Kabore, Kerjota and Borch all start this one

              Schwolow

Borch Halkett Findlay Milne

         Devlin McEntee

Kerjota Shankland Kyziridis

                Kabore

Hopefully a win, any win will do.

I think Forrest is more likely to start ahead of Kerjota.

Borchgrevink needs a run of games at RB and I agree having McEntee in the middle alongside Devlin.

Kyzi, Braga and Shankland are a top attacking trio in this league and should remain the same.

No way Findlay should be playing given recent form. McInnes may have felt he needed to stick by him given he went out on a limb to get him past Jamestown but his performance at Motherwell surely the final straw.

Tin hat on, but I wouldn’t be opposed to Kabangu and Kabore up front.  Shanks and Braga are well off the boil.

We lack so much in midfield especially without Beni - it’s a shame that Ageu and the Hoff are out, and Spittal isn’t showing it.  Kartum?

          Kabore   Shankland   Kyziridis

That's what I'd be going for. We're becoming easy to play against as absolutely nothing is coming through our middle or right and there is far too much dependence on Kyziridis. Spittal and Kartum, for all their faults have a decent strike from distance in them and the ability to play passes that break defensive lines. McEntee plays in the middle since he was good there against Aberdeen and McInnes wants height out on that right hand side. Borchgrevink to provide us width and some good balls into the box from that side too.

If he's got the flu, and if it's anything like the flu my entire household currently have, I doubt he will be.

There is no excuse (except for injury or illness) for not starting Borch. If Findlay still needs injections bring in McCart.

There will be no excuses should we fail to beat Kilmarnock - they are not the form side eg Motherwell yesterday and St Mirren a month ago, we are at home so none of this it's a difficult place to go nonsense.

3-0 Hearts.

Got to be the end of McIntee at RB and beginning of Borchgrevink finally being starting RB. Don't know why Kerjota needs so long to adapt that we think playing players out of position on the right is the better option

Posted

Borch looked assured when he played.  He bullied the Motherwell player a couple of times so no issue with the physicality aspect.

He needs to start on Wednesday.

McEntee to play in MF and Milne to play LB.

Kyzi has missed Milnes overlapping runs and is effectively being forced to cut inside every time instead of keeping the defender guessing.

RW is the only question mark. If Kerjota is unwell, I’m not sure who can play there. Surely not Forrest.

I’d consider Kartum out right. Not in a winger role but a wide right sort of Camazola role. Borch providing width on the right side. Balances out the left too.

Posted

We need to address the right hand side. Borchgrevink has to come in at a minimum and want to see something different to Milne playing there ahead of him.

Posted

Watched that Celtic game, two games in a row where they've won ugly and carried the luck. How titles are won etc etc. But they are very far from convincing and I believe that they still remain  vulnerable.

For us, blinkers on now against Kilmarnock. Hopefully a performance, but of necessity any kind of win on the night. We are NOT at the Aberdeen collapse stage, nothing like it, and McInnes can use all the psychology at his disposal to motivate or kick arses going into Wednesdays game. The Parkhead  game will then take care of itself.

I reckon he should start him though.

For anyone not at the game Findlays attempt to win the ball in the bbc highlights pretty much summed up his entire match..........utter huddy like performance. McCart a far better footballer.

Borch in at right back, McEntee into centre mid please. Don't mind if McCart gets the nod ahead of Findlay.

No idea who should play right wing - might as well draw lots!

As noted above, Killie are on a dire run.  They were probably pleased to end that with a draw yesterday.  We should beat them.

2-0 win.

That's a decent looking team. Although I'd be telling Kabore to stay central and looking at Kartum to drift out wide and link with Borch on the wing as well as playing through the middle.
