It looks like one of the officers is being manhandled in the picture as well.

Jeezo.

Can see why they'd get their pants in a twist about the ones with the Orange Caps on right enough 🤣

Seriously though, thats absolutely horrendous.

So they are trying to do an intimidation campaign against police officers, presuambly in the hope that the police officers at Celtic Park are at best too concerned to intervene and arrest, at very worst too scared to be in the Green Brigades section and refuse to go on duty.

When added to the Green Brigade openly saying they dont want police in their area, its clear they want to control their own area. Which means stewards cant really control them (especially if they rush in as a mass like the footage clearly shows them doing.) So with the stewards powerless, then they can say and do what they want.

I do agree there is a history in football and Scottish football of heavy handed police, but no police at all is not good either. The Green Brigade are a group who see themselves as powerful and above all control, that is dangerous when Ultra groups become that, and sadly often they get to that with either club turning a blind eye or even aiding them (out of fear, or for political benefit.) If the Green Brigade were not checked, would they demand a cut of the ticket revenue for their section, to "help with displays"...wink wink, ultra groups around the world have done that.

Ban them permanently and give the ringleaders footballing bans. If you don’t nip this in the bud, you just encourage copy cats

They quite regularly do this. It’s nothing new.

After the GB turned up at Ainslie Park for the Hearts B game against Celtic B, I spoke to a friend of mine who has connections with Spartans and also writes a footballing blog.

https://www.thesfu.co.uk/post/andy-s-sting-in-the-tale-31-10-25-when-fandom-is-just-an-excuse-for-antisocial-behaviour

He said "I followed it up and spoke with the host club in the cold light of a Tuesday morning and was told that 2 buses of mostly young, uniformed (Black, Hoodies, Face Masks etc) fans came through, vaulted the turnstiles en masse and were out to tell everyone else at the ground that they were the most important part of the night."

I was unaware of how they had entered the ground, but given the circumstances I would have understood if Hearts or Spartans had requested that the game would not start/be abandoned.

I have no idea if Hearts contacted Celtic, Spartans or the Lowland League to express their concerns.  If they didn't then they risk it repeating itself.

Get battered at Tynie and then show up at Ainslie park for a B team game where there's no opposition

You can understand why the Heebiejeebies think they can make this happen because it happens on the continent. Huge clubs in countries where policing is more heavy handed pander to their ultras to astonishing degrees. Thats not to say I dont think Police Scotland shouldn't just start booting the utter shit out of them on sight.

It was the day before the Tynecastle game. Probably couldn't get tickets for Tynecastle, so decided they'd impose themselves on the B Team games, just as a statement. "Look at us."

That actually makes me feel better.

Turning up at Ainslie park acting the billy/Timmy big baws and then coming to Tynie full of bravado and getting their arse handed to them.

Ban them? Aye ok but why do Celtic pander to them and supply tickets for away games?

I know Celtic season ticket holders who don't even apply for away tickets because the Goon Brigade get granted them before anyone else.

One of the aforementioned ST holders seems to be hated by them on X as he never tires of telling them "no one is bigger than the club".

Not gonna read all posts tonight, long day.

Seeing this angers me, properly.

In every job you get people who are good at it and bad at it. People that go into said job for right reasons, wrong reasons or only option that makes sense.

I've met really sound police and proper fill in the blank type. Was a twat when young, responsible 40 something now.

Anyhow, that's context of thinking....to put pictures of people (who may have been dicky) out en masse to every reprobate and phyco, should be incitement charge. Horrendous, just trying to get them jumped..cowardly.

They think they are above the law.

The time is long overdue when they are put in their place.

Anyone who wears a black hoodie and a face covering is intentionally setting out to conceal their identity. It is reasonable to assume that if a person is going to a football match and deliberately attempting to conceal their identity that they are intending to be up to no good. That is what these scumbags regularly do. They hide behind charitable deeds like food collections for food banks but they are fooling nobody. Everybody who isn’t a Celtic fan knows what they are.

A good kicking or a lifetime ban from Celtic matches are the only two things they will understand.

Reminds me of when one of them ran on to the pitch and tried to attack Mbappe. Ever noticed how big Mbappe is? This clown looked like a midget heading for him while Mbappe looked puzzled rather than intimidated. Like are you kidding me leprechaun?

This. It's time to be ruthless with the cretins. No police, no game! Followed by a forfeit of the points. That would get Celtic taking action quickly enough!

That's the only thing that would make that club take real action; never going to happen though

Exactly. A really weak response from Celtic.

Both Celtic and Rangers need this sort of stuff as well as sectarianism. They thrive on it.

Police Scotland should just come out and state they are unwilling to police Celtic matches. Force the clubs hand.

The club and their fans are vile and thick beyond belief.

Had the misfortune of reading the website Hail Hail or some crap like that where they are moaning about St Mirrens goal being chopped off. The absolute cheek of them what with the amount of ‘errors’ going their way. I despise them.

Shocking behaviour from individual named in report.

This time it's a Celtic supporter but it's difficult to separate them from Sevco ones. It's about time the police dealt with these types of individuals, from both Sevco and Celtic in the main, in a far more severe manner.

It's amazing how supporting one of these two clubs seems to turn a human into a knuckle dragging sectarian bigot.

Only two Sevco mentions in a report about a Celtic fan? You need to up your game. ☹️

So they had their part in a riot. Brought our game into national shame. Celtics answer to identifying the guilty, let them back in.

This is why we need to as other clubs and the authorities force them to play OF games behind closed doors for the foreseeable

It's a shame the Police can't just give you a good ****ing kicking any more, because these are the sort of Internet hardmen that deserve it the most. Strong in a group, pathetic on their own.

Yes...typical Chip on the shoulder hypocritical SCUM .......Dregs of society

(and shows how desperate Celtic currently is to change principles and sell out their morals just to curry favour with the rancid hoodlums - makes Celtics board no better than the perps.....bottled it)

They and the zombies didn't even get spoken to after their recent fans fighting each other on the pitch.

Scottish government and police Scotland have sad and done nothing.

Celtic will now realise their fans can do whatever they want and they will only be punished if it's during a European tie.

Untouchable, both Glasgow clubs.

Yup, this is why the club caving in is so stupid. The Green Brigade are the most self-absorbed organisation around, they will never think they have done anything wrong and instead demand everything. They wont change like the Celtic statement said they would to meet the requirements from the council.

At no point throughout this whole ban did the Green Brigade even suggest they might compromise to come back in, they just said everything else is wrong and they should be given free reign.

This is an organisation that demands no police in their area of the stadium.
