Shooter McGavin Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 Seeing that the Rangers equivalent have released a statement moaning about Dundee not allowing them to display at tifo at Dens Park. Last year they put on a pyro display that could have been seen from the international space station, and now they want “common sense” from Dundee. What do they put in the water in Glasgow?

No doubt the club will back down as usual and the Tims will be even more unsufferable, if that's possible The GB should leave Celtic and form their own club, like those supporters of Man Utd did. FC Celtic of Glasgow would do the trick. Put their money where their mouths are.
Deevers Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 The Board are well aware of who the main actors are with this crowd. They have embarrassed Celtic over and over again. It’s telling that such is the hold that these terrorist sympathisers have over the club that a three match ban is as far as they go. If Desmond and Co had an ounce of bottle they would be rooting out the main protagonists in the Green Brigade and banning them for life. They won’t though and they’ll do just enough and no more to keep the authorities off their backs.

I think there is already a pretty big split in their support tbh. Others that mention above about how they know Celtic fans that can’t stand that side of the club and the support are fairly common in my experience too. There is a sizeable number of them who are only really interested in the political shite and think that is what their club should represent. They are at odds with the capitalist Tory corporate ownership of the club and its practices. I think their support is very split and if they officially split, it would be a pretty even cut. Would love to see them split in to two clubs as one would begin very small and the other would lose a lot of its fans who make the most noise.

Masked polis like in Watchmen may be the only way forward… or we could just grow up as a society and start treating public disorder with the force it deserves. Allowing these imbeciles to operate above the law, is a joke. They are football supporters, not some paramilitary militia. If Celtic need to bring in more cops to control them or ban them completely then they should be made to do so.

Rudy T Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 Block 7 getting smashed at Tynie I think is just the start of the police clamping down on these groups. Back in the day the casuals got away with it for so long before the cops got on top of it. I dont really see the difference with some of the ultra groups, large groups of youths brought together by their club, running about the streets fighting with other ultra groups. But like the casuals more and more normal fans seem to be getting caught up with their nonsense, that gives it a shelf life before the police are told to get it stopped. In Celtics case the police may refuse to police their games with a capacity crowd or hit them with a massive bill for extra police inside the stadium. It’s clear this lot think they run the show in their section a dangerous road to go down for Celtic. Lets hope the fines start to mount up!
Tazio Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 A lot of these groups live in a deluded state where they think they are actually important and impress people. I see graffiti everywhere that just says Block 7. No mention of Hibs, just their self important bunch of wannabe hard men. As if anyone who isn’t a football fan even has a clue what it means.
Smithian Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 Three games too narrow. If GU's pulled that stunt to try to rattle Tynecastle staff or law enforcement, I'd be ready to punt them for rest of the season and bring them back on a "one more strike, you're out" Celtic allows this. They could sell those seats to other fans no problem.

If any of them pulled the stunt he did, they'd deserve jail I'm certain the GUs have misbehaved in a few way, but the one match I ever sat behind them they seemed like a harmless bunch. Polite group. The insta posts and blurring faces and all black outfits is cosplaying some hard side in Europe, but in person they seem pleasant if a bit young in their occasional unfortunate song selection and whatever that boycott decision was for a match last season.

Most of the groups are just wee laddies enjoying their day out at the football and so they should. Nothing better than a good day out and a sing song when you’re young, it’s what it’s all about. However the Green Bridge, Union Bears, Block 7 and a few more have a much more sinister element to them.
