selkirkhmfc1874 Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Last season we couldn't win a big game but 7 games into this season we've already beat Aberdeen, Rangers and hibs !! Just shows get the right manager and recruitment right.... Long may things continue as they are.

jamboinglasgow Posted October 7 Posted October 7 In the league so far, we have played four of last seasons top 6 and won every game, scoring 8 goals and conceding 2 (and that was just in 1 game.)
1971fozzy Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Brilliant. Just need Killie and Celtic to add to it and that’s definitely not impossible. Hard but we have a great manager, squad and support. Would be spectacular.
Rudy T Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Early doors I know but for the first time in a long while we look a better team than the sum of our parts. Every player is playing above themselves, it’s been a long time since we’ve seen that. They look a side willing to put it all out there for each other. They’re at each other constantly and not accepting a lack of effort or poor decision making. I guess the big squad is helping keep them focused but with the spine of the team full of experienced heads things look so different. We’re talking JJ teams here and that’s been a long long time coming.
GinRummy Posted October 7 Posted October 7 The turnaround has been incredible. The do or die attitude is the complete opposite of last season. That goal on Saturday was better than the whole of last season combined. Well done Derek and the squad.
jock _turd Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) I am going to pish on the chips here... according to everybody on here these teams are shite Edited October 7 by jock _turd
jamboozy Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Victory’s breed confidence and long may it continue. We will suffer a defeat eventually and how we react to that will be important, when I say we I include us supporters in that, there will be some that will loose their sh!t , no doubt about it, but we need to stay on board and fully support the team.

I’m not convinced the players have reached their top level yet never mind playing above themselves.

What I mean is they’re giving everything they’ve got at this stage, no one is playing within themselves. No one is afraid to make a mistake, they’ll try the risky pass, Cammy Devlin doing Cruyff turns who’d have thought that. Harry Milne body on the line every game. No doubt as the season progresses we’ll see more cohesion, better understanding. Even the subs as well giving it their all trying to get into the team, guys who could easily throw the toys out the pram still coming on and giving their all and in many cases changing the game. Tell me the last time you saw this level of desire from a Hearts team.
